He's signed thru next year so that's a good thing. But cap hit is $5.8 mill. At that price STL will have to eat some of that salary. So the prospect is going to be have to be better than McDonough + a 1st Two seconds are better than one (20th ) first. Look what the best offer for JT Miller was ... and he was scoring at a 120 point pace under Bruce. It's not going to blow socks off. Probably a first, a grade A prospect, and an underwhelming roster player back. For us, Willander now that Hunter is traded, next years first and Mikheyev. Would you do that? Dallas traded a first for the guy we were going to get for Miller.. Contenders are playing a game above, the rest of the pack. Tanev. They have to be the favourites out of the West right now. But by inches not miles. We need to consider next season too. Edited March 8 by IBatch

Any big trade we make has to be through the lens that they will be retained. Word was that PA was trying to trade for Lindholm last summer. He was seen as a big piece of that window; they are going to do everything in their power to resign IMO. Any other MAJOR piece will be the same. Hence why Toffoli makes sense; not underlying expense and liked Van when he was here. Edited March 8 by BC_Hawk

Pinot Noir
Wow management totally screwed up by not placing one of Joshua, Myers on LTIR and keeping Soucy on there for another week. Playoffs are a war of attrition and we should have loaded up. 2

Nothing about LTIR decisions for these players impacts any deadline moves at all.
