After everything we’ve already done this year and last, including multiple first round pics and prospects traded away to improve the team, I’ll be happy with a quiet deadline.

It doesn’t make sense to go ALL IN before we’ve had any success whatsoever at the playoff level

For real, this core is very inexperienced when it comes to the playoffs, why throw away assets for what could be a tough learning experience?

We'll make the playoffs and get some experience, that's not nothing

125k in cap space and maybe nobody wants to take on Mikheyev without making us pay

I'm joking. The team already made three big trades for Zadorov, Lindholm, and Lafferty. Three players that most teams would be more than happy to have. The only pressing need to me, is more size on the forward corps.

If nothing else happens for the Canucks (maybe sign Kessel), I think they'll be considered Losers at this TDL, because they're a top team and they did nothing to add, to help them be better. The other teams right behind them all loaded up.

Is Allvin that confident in this group as it's built, to go all the way?

Maybe they are? Joshua and Myers returning will help too.

Maybe they swap Kessel for a lighter player, and that was always the plan. just hours more and we know..

They added a defenseman in Zadorov that most teams would have paid through the nose for at the trade deadline, and a right handed Selke finalist in Lindholm, who looked really strong yesterday, that again most teams would pay handsomely for, and they traded for a strong fourth line player in Lafferty. Anything today is gravy. Looks like the addition of Hanifin didn't help Las Vegas yesterday.

You get the feeling that Phil's contract is sitting there, unsigned by alvin until like 2.50.

At this rate vegas might sign him ha

I don't know why they'd move Mik, probably the best defensive fwd on the team, going into the post season where good defense is the key to wins

I thought mik was possibly our best player last night, and I’ve been on team trade mik for the last month, if he can play with that speed I don’t wanna move him

I think there's a good chance he's better next season

That being said, I also wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks regress a bit next season too

I definitely expect them to regress next year

I am hugely disapointed in JR and PA so far today.

Why?  They made moves all year and it's well known that JR likes to make moves early

Yup, plus we will need our prospects to fill the gaps the next couple years.

I'm in class until just before the deadline but I'll try and keep things updated throughout!

Hearing through the grapevine that Canucks are still looking to find someone with term, one name I've heard is Lawson Crouse - played well under Tocchet and another 3 years at 4.3 Million (a wash with Mikheyev). Cost would be majorly significant, think 2025 First and prospects, and no guarantee that Coyotes move him
