Is anyone else getting this annoying blue tag that keeps popping up that won’t disappear without closing CFF and restarting it?

Yeah, it was brought up last month.  I know I occasionally see it (quite randomly), but have mostly learned to keep from pressing on it.  It is (I agree) quite annoying to encounter.

I'm not saying this is a bug, but I am curious to know what these are and why they have have turned up recently.

  • 2 weeks later...

The number of ads has increased insanely. Impossible to scroll and have a view at the forum without one.

Is that on purpose?

They are covering almost half of the screen on my cell phone.

And they are so bright, the dark mode starts making no sense anymore.

I'd rather pay to use. But this is hard to bear.

Edit: Appears to be more of a Chrome issue. No similar ad appearances when using another browser.

Ok those annoying ones should be off again.

yeah the little blue ribbon pop up is an ad style, one of the most annoying though.
Generally I find the ads built into the forums between posts are fine and fund the forums so I am good with them, the blue pop up one is terrible though. My guess is it will likely show up every couple weeks forever, but whatever it is Ribs is doing to shut it off also works, until the script is reset, likely every couple weeks.

Problems you have with sometimes feeling like one of the few sports team fanbases that aren't totally out of their minds.

Why? If you don't like em, don't buy from them.  Like we ignore most ads.  They're still helping to pay for our site.

If it's the particular content you question, what happens when someone else wants ad content banned that you favor?

Don't want to run out of advertisers, do we?

No politics, no religion.

Makes sense in general. Lot of things get politicized though, so it could backfire.

I dunno, I just find it easy ignoring what I'm not interested in. But your position is fair
