I think I heard they offered him a 50% pay cut which he turned down. Probably cost around 2-2.5 mil

If this is true, then it means that Zadorov has already decided on his next destination. I hope it's an eastern team.

He fits the mould of what we need more than Zadorov or Tanev. just remember , you snooze, you loose, we had a bird in the hand. Now guys like Tanev , Zadorov , Pesce , Dillon , are moving . The complexity of every team shifts in every hour.. and what you thought was a final offer gets out bid by other teams. The regret may be a small re calculation , never made, only to leave you in total deficit of what you had.. and no one to replace what that player brought to your team in totality . For some you need to find reverse gear to catch up to. .. and those you held your “man love” for, Leave you for that other guy

Probably Toronto, which is fine They traded for Tanev too but I won't be surprised if he hits UFA, I'd rather look for someone younger than Tanev on the right side though

I predicted he would sign there a while back. They've been able to speak with his agent since the 25th(?), so they probably have a good idea what the deal will look like. PhillipBlunt
Curious as to what Milstein would say. Should be interesting.

Toronto connection or not, Dallas is the better built team and they couldn't get a deal done. Doesn't hurt for him to at least hit July 1st and then weigh his options. The statement will probably be to thank the fans and explain the decision because he knows how popular Zadorov is in this market. If he actually signs here, I would obviously welcome that news. Coconuts
I'll be a little surprised if Milstein badmouths the Canucks or Vancouver, more than likely we'll have players repped by him play here in the future We still have a couple prospects repped by him for example

He could have said, "Nikita wants to see what offers there are out there"....
