The kings definitely have Vancouvers number It came down to 3 mistakes that lead to all their goals. Otherwise super tight checking playoff hockey. 16 minutes ago, Jaimito said: Live and learn. You have to be able to beat those types of teams in post season. One more game vs LAK left in regular season. They are a potential second round opponent. I think in the post season that's a winnable game and series. We made a couple mental lapses ... LA was just a little more focused and shut us down while capitalizing on their opportunities. As @Darius mentioned it really helps to score first on these guys.

Popular Post MikeyD
That game is on Boeser. Gave up on playing hockey on the first goal and the Kings are the worst team to give the first goal to in the entire league. Blows me away that if a rookie made that play he'd be in the AHL but he's allowed to do it and get loads of ice time. 2 4

Good sign for the playoffs, and that's without Joshua too. 46-24 hits. Lafferty had 8, Miller had 7.

MikeyD
Also our coach needs to figure out in-game tactics when the other team adjusts. LA figured out that the Canucks were knifing it in all game so they parked one defender at the hash marks the whole third period. We kept handing the puck to him and because he's already at their net he has loads of time to grab the puck, look around and make a play. Needless to say we continued to knife it in the whole period. Reminds me of AV. Hell of a coach, but couldn't adjust to the other team mid game to save his life and that's why we never won the cup with our stacked team. Great pre-game strategist, but not mid-game. 1 1
Silent Man
I feel a bid sad, but not disappointed. With DJ and Demko it would be a different result.

Only one I've really play against that stereotype is Forsberg. Hmm Sundin, Patric Hornqvist, Landeskog, Ulf Samuelsson, immeadiately spring to mind. Come playoff time theres gonna be a lot more of these types of games, hope we learn from it.... Couldn't have said it better myself. If we didn't make 3 F#$k ups we'd likely be in the 2nd OT right now battling for the winner.

Team needs Lindholm, forward group was not good in their own end tonight in my opinion. 1st Kings goal was unacceptable, can’t happen. Also we need to stop looking for the perfect play in a game like this. Just shoot everything on net. Lindholm is more than some people think. You don’t know it until he is not in the lineup…

If you watch him closely you'll see he nothing but an opportunist - One Trick pony - "Shooter". No More - No less. He is slow, uncoordinated, can't pass well, doesn't forecheck or backcheck, poor stickhandler, won't chase someone down (as you and others mentioned) and has never carried a puck across the offensive Blue line in his life - only dumps it in and scatters to avoid possibly being checked along the boards. But he is one heck of a Shooter and the reason he's still on the team payroll. Just watch him very closely next game if you need any convincing and see for yourself. Quinn picked a bad time to change and the player who didn't come on would have had Fiala covered. Do you guys just look at the sportsnet replays?
