Goals! Goals! Goals! Toughness

48 members have voted

  1. 1. Best 50 Goal Scorer to Never Score 60

    • Marcel Dionne - end of list. Got 59 one year stop the presses.
      13
    • Brendan Shanahan - yes, he piled in the rubber but he could also punch your face in doing it.
      10
    • Mark Messier - let's forget the Vancouver Canuck years and he is my vote. What not to like, tough, goal scorer, guaranteed wins.
      3
    • Bobby Hull - a pure goal scorer, 610 goals while taking time to play in the WHA ... oh what could have been. Smooth skater and played with an edge
      19
    • None of the above, see my comment below.

  2. 2. Who would you add if you could reach back into the past for their prime years to add the toughness needed to survive to win 16 post season games? But out goes one of Petery, Miller, Lindholm or Boeser.

    • Donald Brashear - hey, he developed silky hands for a tough guy
      8
    • Bob Probert - nothing more needs to be said
      11
    • Rick Tocchet - hell he would lace them up right now
      25
    • Tic Toc is a bit of a cheat so can't chose that one otherwise there are way too many players to choose from. See my comment below with my vote of a tough guy that could also score a few timely goals.

I want to dial up Rick & tell him to get Podz on the 1st unit.

He's basically everything they need; he competes hard for every puck, he's strong in battles, cannon of a shot, and an underrated playmaker.

Bumper or far side he has all the right tools. They need to try it in practice.

the big difference between other teams powerplay and our powerplay.. all 5 players on the other team are constantly skating and moving.. ours the player without the puck don't really move all that much

they barely move and ALWAYS  setup at the exact same points on the ice, it’s frustrating to watch especially when it’s costing them games

I thought the last couple calls against Dallas were soft, tbf. Particularly the last one on Smith against Bains.

You can't have reasonable discussions with perpetual victims.  They refuse to accept reality.

I jest a bit, but many here have the same victim mentality of MAGA chuds.

At some point it needs to be made clear to the league that the conduct of the refs won't be tolerated.  If we get a meaningless HNIC game late in the year, maybe a forfeit in protest might be a solution.  Hit the league in the wallet and make the league have to answer questions about their refusal to hold the refs accountable for their open corruption.

So your brilliant idea is to punish the fans?

And since I’m ranting how do you pay guys more than jt when he keeps saving our ass every night …

Ask Petey ? It’s wild how many points he’s piled on this year

If these teams do meet in the playoffs, it's going to be like this except twice as intense.

Hopefully Benn, Sequin will get their panties in a knot and take stupid penalties and the Canucks go to town.

ya they can keep changing the formation or players all they want.. but it's still goign to produce the exact same result.. it's almost feels like tocchet is teaching them to be positional and always stay in the area you are assigned and be ready to defend short handed chance rather than keep moving.. let player rotate spot.. always skating looking for open space.. the powerplay takes 0 chances

This, there’s no movement at all. So frustrating. It’s refreshing when PP2 comes on for their 10-15 seconds as there’s actually movement in that unit
