Thats' 7-8 players and Horn-Wreck will very likely be one of them if he sticks to his comments that he expects $8,000,000.00 next year! Canuckfanforlife82
It’s weird to hear the coach not seem that concerned about the pp. He just said it’s unfortunate but it’s 3/21 on the home-stand and you have had so much time practicing. Zero high danger chances on it. It should be very concerning. Edited March 29 by Canuckfanforlife82

The refs were trying to let them play but Blueger sticked a guy right in the face. It's like an automatic penalty for shooting the puck over the glass. There is a mandate for player safety regarding sticks to the face and they are called every time. Those are stupid penalties to take as they serve no purpose and are just careless and inattentive. Ask Hronek about sticks to the face being automatic (that was not a follow through, per the rules). Heiskanen's was an obvious call, too, but they let that go. I appreciate Zad holding off on retaliating against Heiskanen, given the close game. In hindsight though, I wish he pasted him into next week. Canucks deserved better. Their powerplay was obviously not up to the task, but proper officiating would have likely had that game go to OT. Perhaps even a W for us. 1 2

He already looks spent. Edited March 29 by Canuckfanforlife82

No confidence and he just looks like a third liner at best right now. It might not be fixable until the off-season. Who knows right now I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some sort of injury all year. He doesn’t even take his lethal shot. Where did it go? You might of answered your own question

PhillipBlunt
Team needs to play better if they want to get anywhere in the playoffs. That being said, the officiating is absolutely garbage.

This^ Canucks were playing for the tie. A stupid penalty and they got scored on right away on the Dallas PP because Canucks were already playing just to hold on. 1. Can't take bad penalties with 3 minutes left in a tied game. 2. Can't play for the tie for the whole 3rd period without getting burned.

The game was pretty even up until the Blueger penalty with 3:28 left. In fact the Canucks were outshooting the stars in the 3rd at that point. It was anybody’s game. If you base it on our lack of pp prowess, than yah, we didn’t deserve to win. I guess I’m on a bit of an island here as I thought it was a good hard-fought game and neither team gave up much that was easy, like any good playoff series. PP was a fail and the pk needed to kill off at least one more. Reffing wasn’t great especially Heiskenen putting Joshua into the boards dangerously while clearly interfering but for that to count you have to score on some of the pps that you do get. I’m not seeing the same doom & gloom like many others and overall I enjoyed the game. 2 2

Sure but our pp had been bad for three months now. That’s pretty bad. Petey is going to finish well below his pace last year. That is bad especially heading into the playoffs but you want to ignore it that’s fine.
