  1. 1. Canucks hired you as the emergency PP Coach. What is the single move you would make to have the biggest impact?

    • Plant the biggest body on the team in front of the goalie, ala Big Buff - Big Zeke or Dak?

    • Put Honker on the PP1 unit and have him launch bombs at the net even if someone is standing in front of him.

    • Replace Suter in the Bumper Spot with a Bo Horvat lite - Hogz or Dak?

    • Really mix it up and put out Miller, Petey, Honker with Player 1 and Player 2 - see my comments below

Exactly. Unfortunately some people will turn a blind eye to the teams recent stretch of mediocrity cause of their early to mid season record.

what are you thoughts on the fact that the team is #1 in the NHL defensively since the all star break?

A lot of that has to do with the fact Demko got injured and DeSmith had to play. They had to clamp down. Also Demko was starting to play amazing. It has a lot to do with these factors.

so?  is that supposed to diminish the FACT they are the best defensive team since the all star break?  how do you throw a wet blanket on that?

At what cost? Can’t generate chances, play most of the game on the perimeter or defending, play down to competition and not good enough overall against tougher teams. Pp has been abysmal. Some players are essentially invisible and been called out by head coach on numerous occasions. We might disagree but in my eyes we are trending the wrong way.
