The Red Wings are under new management. We will be doing a team wide review in the coming weeks to months as we approach the NHL trade deadline. We will be listening to offers on players from interested parties.

We will make decisions we feel are best for the future of the red wings franchise.

Rush.

 BUFFALO, N.Y. —

With the first quarter of the season now passing head coach Dan Granato shared his thoughts with the Buffalo press:

It’s been a disappointing start to the season but thats part of the process of being a first year team in a new league committed to a full rebuild. There’s guys in that room that know they need more and can do more. It’s all about elevate and compete. I think we’ve been waiting and waiting and not realizing that we haven’t elevated to the level we need to. We’ll solve a lot of problems. When you have challenges in different areas and multiple areas, they’re usually resolved with greater compete.” Buffalo’s GM has kept to the praise of Granato and hopes the fans will understand that this is a 3 year process to become serious playoff contender for years to follow. To date the Buffalo GM has been busy making double digit trades with more expected to come in the coming weeks and months ahead all in the direction of bettering the future of the club.  The Buffalo GM also provided an update on the top preforming prospects in the organization over the first quarter of the season as well as the updated lines of the Sabres and an updated trade block which is all provided below:

Seattle open to discussion on all pending UFAs. Jake DeBrusk likely to be most in-demand. Starting price will be something along the lines of a 1st plus a decent prospect. Other pending UFAs include Scheifele, Eberle, Grzelyk.

Will listen to offers on Vasilevsky, but would need a pretty special return to move him.
