We caught up with GMRK to ask him a couple questions about this past week Reporter Erik Erlendsson: Tell us GMRK, what led to all these flurry of moves and where do you see your team now as compared to before RK: Yeah you know, we have been working the phone lines for quite some time and managed to finalize deals in which some we have been working on for some time. WE were able to strike 2 deals with @MidKnight Ego, both of which we had been on him for some time about Filip Chytil. Filip is a player whom we really like and can see growing with us. Unfortunately he will be out for the year but we hope he will work with our medical staff to get him back to full health. We were able to help Toronto fill some needs they had, and use a piece in a return we got for a bigger package down the road. We were also able to acquire a bonafide top line forward in Travis Konecny which was a big get for us. We had been shopping Weegar quietly and doing what we could with his trade list and found a match in Toronto. We had to move out Veteran Jordan Staal to Winnipeg, however in doing so we are appreciative of @arby18 for working with us as it allowed us to alleviate some cap, as well as fill some depth on the backend. We were also able to bring in a couple other verteran players in Sam Gagner and Zach Parise is a simple deal made with @JohnnyEhGiverwho had been after Lundestrom in the past and we felt now was the time to make that deal. Lastly we were able to replace Weegar with the addition on Nikita Zadorov on the back end and we thank @Sludge for quick and easy negotiations there, as well as working with us on retention. Finally we on a wimb asked about Andrei in Seattle and found we were on his trade list, and this deal came together rather quick and we thank both @MatchesMalone for the smoothness of the negotiations and to @Rick Blight for the assist on the deal. We hate to lose so many pieces, but we feel great about the additions we made Reporter EE: What's next for Tampa Bay RK: Well we are still shopping. We are 5 weeks out from the TDL and we feel we are still incomplete. We are also tight to the cap, however we will look to do what we can to acquire mid 6 depth up front and potentially look for another top 4 on the backend. We will likely look to shop Travis Konecny, Matt Roy, Philip Broberg, Ville Heinola, any picks and Phillip Danault (NSH-DET-CGY-MTL-EDM-TOR-WSH-ARZ-CHI-MIN) but we also like where we stand if the playoffs were to start today. Appreciate the fast response by yall, and your answers will help the league move in a positive direction! The more that participate the better. The reason this survey was put out so early this year is because there is currently a major rework going on fixing a lot of the holes that were in a very rushed CBA, and we want to hear your opinions to help us determine the direction we want to go with a few rule changes. There are a lot of good changes coming in year 2 that I think a lot of you will like. Appreciate each and every one of you. Overall it's been a very good season despite a few bumpy patches early on. Here's to more great seasons in the future! Also want to give a HUGE shout out to @Relyt Krets.. I know yall see the hard work this man has been putting in for GFL, and I could not be anymore grateful to have him help me run things. Thank you for the work you do sir.
