I think a lot of people didn't like it during the Bruce there it is period because Drance could tell this was no sustainable even though many people here thought it was. That and Drance is a knob too which doesn't help things. 1 2

It's more neutral than homerism but it also means he's not one to overreact when things turn sideways (like the recent month) Edit: he did work on the Panthers organization so that's kind of something though it's more on public relations Edited April 16 by iinatcc
Popular Post vcBrett
Im not concerned with winning the division, tho I admit getting passed by Edmonton would be annoying. The McDavid fanboys on national media would be gloating so hard. Still, what happens, happens. We are in the playoffs and regardless of where you finish in the standings, there will be good teams in your way, that you will have to beat in order to go all the way. It would be nice to finish the season on the a strong note, and beating the flames and hopefully the Jets too is always fun. I predict a 3-2 Vancouver win, goals from Boeser, Mikhyev, and Garland staying hot and scoring the game winner. Also, not too concerned about who we play in the first round. There are pros and cons to playing certain opponents early vs later. The later you play against the best teams, the more beat up they are, yet the same goes for you. You also run the risk of injuries and players playing hurt the longer the playoffs go on and this could backfire as you might be the one suffering the most in that regard. There is an argument to be made for playing a top team early in the playoffs while you are healthy and able to give 100%. Reminds of the 2011 run, we got past the blackhawks early while healthy, then the Preds and Sharks didnt seem as intimidating by comparison. I have always been one to prefer getting the hardest challenges and obstacles out of the way first, tackling the most difficult task while at peak performance seems like the best idea. Though I can understand a different point of view. Still, at the end of the day, the road to the cup is never easy. All the more reason to build momentum and positive vibes. Regardless of positioning, playing well and feeling confident is key heading into any post season. Lets get it done tonight boys! So from what I've gathered Drance would never have done the OEL but maybe try to find a way to get Garland but on the flip side Drance would have not done the Hronek deal either

Round 1, The Return of the Demko. Canucks wins round 1 in 5 or 6. Round 2, The Demko Awakens Demko steals Round 2 in 4. Round 3, The Last Demko Canucks wins a nail bitter game 7 in WCF. Stanley Cup Final, The Rise of Demko Demko stood on his head and clinches the Stanley Cup for the Canucks in a shutout. Wins the Conn Smythe. I feel like The Demko Menace or Attack of the Demkos should be during the bubble and A New Demko is when he became a full fledged starter. The holes are kind hard to fill out actually

Kings can tie Nashville, but the 2nd tiebreaker is ROW which Nash has 44 and Kings have 41. Nashville has secured the WC1 Vegas can leapfrog Nashville with two wins. But you are right that the Kings can't jump ahead of Nashville because Preds already have tiebreaker. So Preds have WC1 locked up. It's 3rd in Pacific and WC2 to be decided between Vegas and LA. I like Vegas chances with games against Chi and Anh

stawns
Matchups matter and to pretend otherwise is rationalization. Despite what they might say, Id bet the players care.......I know teams I played on were always watching the standings at this time of the year and always had distinct preferences for matchups.
