Yep. Drance has always been more data driven in his analytics. I think a lot of people didn't like it during the Bruce there it is period because Drance could tell this was no sustainable even though many people here thought it was.

That and Drance is a knob too which doesn't help things.

If Drance was in Canucks management, the Canucks would have won 10 cups by now 🤪

Not even remotely true.

Ok maybe one or probably not. Still I do enjoy Drance nerdy take on hockey. It's more neutral than homerism but it also means he's not one to overreact when things turn sideways (like the recent month)

Edit: he did work on the Panthers organization so that's kind of something though it's more on public relations

Or conveniently or adjacently.

So from what I've gathered

Drance would never have done the OEL but maybe try to find a way to get Garland

but on the flip side Drance would have not done the Hronek deal either

🤔

We're in episode VI already buddy

Episode I - The Demko Menace

Episode II - Attack of the Demko

Episode III - Revenge of the Demko

Episode IV - A New Demko

Episode V - The Demko Strikes Back

Episode VI - The Return of the Demko

Episode VII - The Demko Awakens

Episode VII - The Last Demko

Episode IX - The Rise of Demko

So by this logic.

Round 1, The Return of the Demko.

Canucks wins round 1 in 5 or 6.

Round 2, The Demko Awakens

Demko steals Round 2 in 4.

Round 3, The Last Demko

Canucks wins a nail bitter game 7 in WCF.

Stanley Cup Final, The Rise of Demko

Demko stood on his head and clinches the Stanley Cup for the Canucks in a shutout. Wins the Conn Smythe.

I feel like The Demko Menace or Attack of the Demkos should be during the bubble and A New Demko is when he became a full fledged starter.

The holes are kind hard to fill out actually

Right! Nashville has 38 RW, Vegas has 33, and Kings have 37. Vegas can't catch Nashville. Kings can tie Nashville, but the 2nd tiebreaker is ROW which Nash has 44 and Kings have 41. Nashville has secured the WC1

Vegas can leapfrog Nashville with two wins. But you are right that the Kings can't jump ahead of Nashville because Preds already have tiebreaker. So Preds have WC1 locked up.
It's 3rd in Pacific and WC2 to be decided between Vegas and LA.

I like Vegas chances with games against Chi and Anh

Matchups matter and to pretend otherwise is rationalization.  Despite what they might say, Id bet the players care.......I know teams I played on were always watching the standings at this time of the year and always had distinct preferences for matchups.

I think Vegas want's the Canucks in the 1st round, so with two more games to go, they

will find a way to get the matchup they want.
