Agree. I reckon that "C" on his chest has something to do with that. He looks like a captain and leader.

I don't root for him when he's not wearing a Canada jersey, but I've softened on him over the years. I think his developing into a legit top end skill guy changed a lot of people's minds on him, slowing down on the egregiously dirty stuff too. He's a pest and he's done his fair share of stuff over the years though, no question. 

 

I think it helps that I've never heard anything negative about him as a guy off the ice, he was part of the Bruins leadership that pushed back against the Bruins signing Mitchell Miller too.
