Boston executes a signature Sedins play to win the series.... what a strange world we live in.

Credit to Boston, they found a way to rebound in game 7. On the plus side we should be saved of listening to a Singh/pro-Oilers broadcast, instead we should get Sportsnets top team with Cuthbert.

Go ask any Leafs fan they went into this series with zero optimism and were pleasantly surprised by their determination

I live in Ontario and work with Leafs fans. This what you say is 100% correct. No whooping or hollering when they would win a game. Years of disappointments is wearing them down.

Thing is these guys are the best bunch of guys I have worked with in my entire work life.

I feel sad for them.

I am in Ontario as well. Was driving home from work during game 6 and there were a bunch of the local teenage boys out playing road hockey during the game.
Can’t even get the local hockey kids to watch their playoff games.

I know it's sad. Moving to Ontario from B.C. 24 years ago (for steadier work) was a eye opening experience for sure. People here work just as hard (I thought they were handed stuff)

They follow their team and hope for the best ( just like us) and are usually disappointed  (just like us)

Both sides are hesitant to actually cheer for the others team, because neither side will know the ribbing the other side will get because their team didn't win the cup before the other side.

There are overly Obnoxious fans for both teams and those are the ones that the others react to.

Neither side can do anything about media decisions.

I just know I hate Marchand and the Bruins way more than the Leafs

Think the leafs need to trade two big names and get players that can play and a better goalie.

Get two better D,a goalie and two hard working players.

My guess Marner and Nylamder would get them that and more even if it means keeping cap space to fill the goalie or a D.

Those guys all have full no move clauses. The Leafs will run the same core back but with a different coach.

Marner might be fine to try a new fanbase tho.

Yip. It's gotten too toxic in TO and I bet even Marner will want a change.

It would be funny if he move on and, like Kessel and Kadri before him, becomes a key piece in another club winning the Cup.

A Crosby Marner duo would be special.

Guys on Leafs post game talked about any Marner trade would return 70-80% value. So the Leafs retain a significant amount.

Will be real interesting to see his worth even with 25 percent retained. Does a club trade for him as a rental, for playoffs? His value is at an all time low.

And Marner controls where he’s traded. It’s a messy situation for sure.
