Got the job done

No need to win the conference.  Preds is a good matchup.

Depends on how Dallas do tomorrow, we need to win the conference for home ice advantage throughout the Western Conference bracket.   Even if Dallas lose, we can still rest our stars and win the game.  It will show the depth and I think Winnipeg will rest their guys too.

So if LA wins their last game in regulation they will be tied with Nashville and both will have the same number of regulation wins, so who wins the next tiebreaker?

Different divisions

Edit, my bad, didnt look at the updated standings

NAS has a tiebreaker with both LA and Vegas, so they're locked at WC 1.

so technically the Canucks have control over who they  meet in round 1? A loss in Winnipeg would ensure Nashville in the 1st round?

I can’t do it. Have to root for some sort of unprecedented double disqualification.

Let them maul the hell out of each other for seven games with multiple suspensions/injuries and the winner gets kicked to the curb in the next round. Something soooo satisfying about the Leafs losing out in the first round again but I could never bring myself to root for the Bruins so let the chips fall where they may.

Only if Dallas lose and we can alter the standing with a win against Jets.  If Dallas get a point out from their game tomorrow, Winnipeg game becomes meaningless for first round match-up except for a potential home-ice western conference final against the Jets.  They are separated by a point.  A win against the Jets and they hold the home ice advantage if Jets advanced to WCF.    We still want to win of any kind tomorrow for us to be ahead of the Jets.   Still kind of important result for Thursday's game even if Stars wins tomorrow especially we might not know for a month after round 2 match-up assuming that we advances to WCF.
