Maybe Juulsen spares a d-man. JT can adjust the TOI as needed so that all play. I thought the Oiler game was technically better played by the Canucks but that said they dominated the Flames. I am kinda impressed by the Flames as they bring on their younger players. I suspect Marky will be gone this summer. 2 of the 3 goals were questionable. EP40 to Hogs was a beaut. 2 goals off the rush. So un-Canuck like. Both Mik and Lindstrom had solid games. If this duo kicks into a higher offensive space during playoffs Vancouver will be a serious force. Combine that with how coaching seem to want to activate Meyers and Zad more than during the regular season. I wish they would hit the net more with their shots instead of trying the finesse tip setups. But heh, that is why they make millions and I am a bump on a log. My take away from the game is the physical and feisty play of both Hronek and Hogs. They set a tone that smacks of playoff hockey. Canucks need that snarl. Joshua had 8 hits but is treading water on the snarl as his hand gets stronger. To a degree fans have viewed the team play over the last 25 games with a degree of trepidation as Cup play nears. Championship teams have always been able to play both an offensive and shutdown styles of game. This Canuck team can do that. The upside of this team that could show itself in playoffs is their explosive offense. There are many players on this roster that can individually win games. I haven't seen it reported, but Silovs must be back in Abby. He was an emergency callup, and the emergency disappeared as soon as Demko was declared fit to play. And as far as stacking tomorrow's line up with callups, don't forget that the baby Canucks are in a fight for playoff seeding with Friday and Saturday games against the Calgary Wranglers. I don't see any callups happening. Maybe Aman, PDG, Friedman and Juulsen get a game to rest anyone banged up (eg, if Hronek indeed has an elbow problem, give him that extra couple of days by inserting Juulsen with Huggy. Similarly Friedman could spell off Cole for some R & R for the latter.
