Horrible choice of music.

That’s where I will disagree. I loath Coldplay after their third album. I recognized the cold play of old in that promo so I had to YouTube to confirm it was them. It is from their newest release,  I like this song BUT the rest of the record sucks like most of Coldplay after A Rush of Blood to the head.

Don’t really get what you are inferring but I have an eclectic taste in music. My favourites in no particular order are Led Zep, Supertramp, Aerosmith (old), and Skynyrd. So take from that what you will brother. Lol.

Coldplay can do better than that. Your other choices seem solid. Can't be more eclectic than mine, when I listen to Band-Maid. It just doesn't fit for pump up music for playoffs. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, Capt listed some great bands but anything but an example of eclectic as they're pretty much all classic rock from the 70's aside from Coldplay.

If ya like Band-Maid, have ya enjoyed Lovebites? I really enjoyed them at first but their singer began to sound pitchy to me in many songs and I'm just hoping they replace her at some point.

My personal range is dominated by classic rock, hard rock, thrash, doom and classic metal but with multiple tangents veering off towards the likes of Concrete Blonde, Michelle Shocked, Willie Nelson, Manfred Mann, Long John Baldry, SRV, Ministry, KMFDM, Black Flag and such. Can enjoy bits of jazz and small slices of older country but not enough that I could name any fave artists. That said, I don't consider my tastes very eclectic as almost all of these are guitar based, Western world music. I have friends who put me to shame with their libraries of artists most of us have never heard of and music that's literally and figuratively all over the map. We're so fortunate to have access to such a huge world of music in this day and age. Amazing

They feed on adversity so really don't get fully energized until something goes wrong. Some of the braver among them have already arrived hinting at our demise but the bulk of them are just folded into their cocoons waiting for Nashville to score the opening goal in game one or for Demmer to let in a soft one then they'll descend upon us like locusts with claims of having told-us-so all year long and spouting litanies of PDO-this and Benning-that and McDryman-better-etc ad nauseam

Truly, aside from obvious Stanley Cup hopes and dreams, my greatest wish for this damn place is that membership was subject to an oath to approach Canuck fandom the same way Tocchet has asked the players to approach the game of hockey.

- Have fun

- Have one another's backs

- Keep an even keel

- Stick to the system

- Play one shift and one game at a time

- Don't get too high or too low after a loss or a goal against

- Learn from mistakes and keep your eyes on the prize

Could you imagine if everyone here had that kind of positivity rather than just playing for themselves and their own stats (post counts)?

What a world it could be lol

Amen, brother! Your post is a thing of beauty. Should be pinned for all to see. The Tocchet comparison and culture is exactly what this franchise has needed.

Your last paragraph is exactly what this forum has needed. Our team needs that ripple effect and impact from fans.

Stellar post, Steamer!

I don’t know, sounds pretty eclectic. Which basically means you like (or derive pleasure from) many different forms (music) of things…….

Sorry Capt... no offense intended whatsoever. Was just chuckling cuz the bands you named were almost all from the same era and genre. Sorry if it came off as dickish

Calling Nucks in 6 but won't be surprised if we lose

Nucks fans largely wanted Nashville over LA or Vegas, but guess what, Preds fans wanted Vancouver over Dallas

Should be fun

Yeah be careful, what you wish for...

Understand why folks wanted Preds, but its a different animal, than the team we met earlier in the season...

Now lets nail them all... no matter which team or players.... we can do this. Lets go...

Nice... ad AC/DC to that and we have a deal.. U2 is not too bad neither.
Actually a bit of Beatles or Stones in there and the night is cooking.

Big issue is travel time. 5 hours travel to Nashville. East Coast teams maybe 45 minutes travel. Canucks are going to have to ensure their players get rest with the extra travel time.

4hrs 33 mins.   Plus security.  Plus the airport walks.    Ive flown Montreal and Ottawa to Miami direct a few times, it's close to 4 hours, and the biggest most ridiculous airport you likely will ever see (it's a hub airport, to South America, makes Pearson look like Nanaimo airport).     Toronto not much different.   At least it's the same time zone, as for that, advantage West teams.   Eastern teams play 1-3hours later then they are used to in most cases (sometimes games will be shown earlier, so Eastern TV audiences are higher).    The Metro, some of those teams can bus  (NYI - NYR).   Hop skip and a jump to NJ.

They'll come out soon enough...

question is, if we get past Nashville, will they understand its a success for the team, or will the bemoan not tanking...

Personally I'm just happy the boys gets some play off reps... My target has already been reached. Anything from here on in is gravy.....

I'm so pumped....

Feel the same.   They've proven they have it in them to be a great team.    Not just this year, but also during the Bruce bump and for the core and Myers, in the bubble too.   They worked hard to earn an easier opponent.    Not that NSH isn't a good team (and well coached) too.   99 points is a solid season (and high for a wild card team).   West is scary good this year.

Teams had one heck of a season.   One game at a time.   They've got all the key ingredients.    Not getting cocky but put Canucks in 5.     Could be six though.

Hes been playing with a bit of an edge lately

him and hoglander are gonna do some great things with their skill and pest like ways

Hoglander going to the net... has some Gelinas in him and it's coming out this year.    Joshua.   Garland.   Lindholm.   Nucleus of our forward support players is pretty darned good.    Any of these guys could be playoff hero's.    Lafferty maybe too.    Lindholm, he's probably the most important of this group.   Playing the "foundational" 3rd line center role, capable of moving up when needed.   5 points the last six games is a boon.   Finding that offense...if his line matches up against the other teams top line, and manages close to even,  we will win most games.

i put the canucks in 6 but at the end of the day all the team in the playoffs have a chance of beating each other.. at least most of them anyways.. this series could very well come down to which team special team shows up for the playoff.. if the canucks pp go awol.. our pk the last 4 games was perfect but the previous 4 games with atrocious so hoping for more or less the pk from the last 4 games.. otherwise this could go 7 with a possible upset if we don't take advantage on the special team.. nashville on paper dont have the talent to match us up and down the lineup but they do play hard from min 1 to 60.. same thing can't be said of the canucks every single game..

if for some unfanthomable reason we got bounced in the series because our special team especially PP.. do we place blame on RT with his inability to make it work despite all the talents available for the pp1 and his unwillingness to relinquish the role to our pp2 coaches who were actual pp specialist in their career that made a living on the pp (gonchar sedins)?

nowadays the games/teams are so close it's whoever's team come out even or positive on the special team that wins game
