Popular Post Believe In Blue
Seriously a big F U to All those losers in the media bashing us about the Lindholm trade. I wonder if he broke it tonight. Guessing not because he has no swelling under the eyes but genuinely don't remember it being that far off to one side. Like Linden. Popular Post Canuckfanforlife82
We absolutely need to resign Joshua. We have nothing after him in terms of how he plays. He’s exactly what we need more of. They lose him it will be their biggest loss and a irreplaceable one. 6
Popular Post CaribouCanuck
One really encouraging thing is that you know this wasn’t Nashville underestimating the Canucks as they were the underdog and got swept by them in the season series. You know they played their hardest and the Canucks still outmatched them.

Popular Post DownUndaCanuck
Unreal game just as expected. We looked pretty nervous in the first period, trying to make pretty tip plays to score but as soon as we started shooting and playing our normal hockey we took over. Mostly good but some bad for sure. Couple of goals against we shouldn't have let up, Petey and Lafferty were a mess together defensively on that goal and Demko probably should have had the other goal but made some decent saves. Defensively otherwise we really didn't give Nashville much at all. Forsberg was invisible and he's essentially a 50G 90P scorer. Josi made some nice plays but again, mainly invisible. Miller was a monster but would have been nice to see him produce more offence, but he was all over the ice and throwing his body everywhere. Boeser made some great defensive plays and had some nice shots but nothing massive. Suter was instrumental in a few forechecking plays and gets one of the biggest goals of our season so can't fault him on that line. Petey was pretty average in the first half of the game, then got a bit better as the game got on, but was fairly weak to be fair. A few nice shots here and there but nothing massive, he's essentially our 3rd line center right now. Expected a lot more from Hoglander, his forechecking and grit is usually good but I think everyone else just raised their game to his level. Their 3rd linemate was a carousel and no one really stuck well. Lafferty looks great on the bottom line and was alright with Petey but they didn't have much offensive chemistry. Obviously Garland, Joshua and Lindholm/Blueger stole the show again. They're basically PPG in their last 15-20 games now. Technically our 3rd line, I'd say they're easily our best 5-on-5 line and arguably our 2nd line. Lindholm with a fairly lucky goal but was brilliant at forechecking, hitting and faceoffs and on the PK as well so looks like he's earning his trade value back slowly but surely. Garland with some classic incredible grinding play down low, he put one of the best defencemen in the world in Josi in an absolute spin cycle a couple of times. He works so well behind the net and obviously that Joshua goal wins the game for us. Great coaching move to have them out after our top line scores the tying goal with the injection of energy in the team so props to Tocchet. I thought our 4th line was fairly decent, Blueger is essentially a 3C on most teams and did well with Mikheyev and PDG banging and crashing. They never looked like they'd score but had some good gringing shifts. On defence I have to say a special shout-out to Myers. He was IMO our best defenceman tonight. I know Hughes gets the goal/assist but boy did Myers look like a beast and was so safe and calm defensively. Some nice passes up the ice but in his own zone he just destroyed the Preds forwards and didn't take any dumb penalties. He made one skating move which looked a bit like Hughes, whipping around and reversing on himself. Very impressed, that was the best game I've ever seen him play and he deserves credit for it. Of course Hughes with a good game and good shot but nothing spectacular, he was really under a lot of pressure in his own zone and made a lot of good kicks and stick plays to move the puck out to Hronek who looked very strong too. Nothing flashy but a beast on the PK from him tonight. Zadorov was very noticeable tonight all over the ice, threw big hits, made some good offensive plays and most importantly didn't get caught out defensively. Cole and Soucy were barely noticeable which is what you want from a defensive defenceman so they did a great job of cancelling the Preds forwards out. Demko was great but didn't have to stop too many top end chances apart from at the start of the game, but was very tidy. Probably could/should have had one of the two Nashville shots back. On the whole, great game, didn't look like we were generating much against Nashville but we just stuck to our old game and finally broke them down. Really got to clamp down on taking dump penalties because their PP looked solid, and we've got to get our PP going as well, but can't complain much with such a character come-from-behind 4-2 win. 10 1 1
