As such, need to play in a system of position more. When Myers played bad, it was because he was trying to play hap hazard Defense. Yup, exactly. Bigger players are limited mobility wise especially stops and starts. They re-programmed him to stand in front of his net unless he can 100% get to a puck and do something safe with it and get it out of our end. So easy of a concept yet often big players just can't see how slow they are themselves unless someone shows them. Fortunately that's not being done with a puck in the back of our net anymore. 1
Popular Post 112
I watched the game with my dad. This season has been special for me because I haven't been able to watch games with him for a long time. I told him before the playoffs started that even if they don't fare well in the post-season that it's been a real treat with how they've played and to follow the team with him again. Hockey is one of the few activities that we've really bonded over across the years. Excitement-wise he thought the first two periods left something to be desired, but he said the third was the type of hockey he was expecting. The atmosphere in the building was electric; the arena hadn't been bumping like it was last night in a decade. I loved the chants throughout the game and the cheers when the Canucks scored. Those two goals twelve seconds apart were just incredible. There's not really any analysis in this post, but I just wanted to say how great it is to have playoff hockey return to Vancouver. 15 more wins! 6 1 3

Canuck You
Petey needs to get going, Lindholm is doing what Kesler did against other teams top player to open up chances for our top guys, That needs to be taken advantage of.

Popular Post Dr. Crossbar
As soon as the game was over last night, the bar I was at downtown cranked Simple Minds "Don't You Forget About Me" ... Everyone in the place was chanting "Hey, hey, hey, hey!!" As cheesy as that song is ... it was a really awesome experience!!! Felt special! CanuckMan
Joshua-Lindholm-Garland are a huge piece of our team play. Not only did they get on the score sheet but they also match the preds top line of Forsberg-ROR-Nyquist and held them to 3 shots all game. Not bad at all and they might just be our wildcard. Suter-Miller-Boeser played alright too. It’s Hoglander-Peterson-Lafferty/Mikheyev that need to heat it up. If they get going we will steam roll the Preds. 1
Karma-Kazi44
I think my favourite part of this was watching the players come down the tunnel post game and nobody is smiling. They know this is going to be a grind and as awesome as it was to win game one there is way more work to do before we celebrate. Enjoy the journey boys!

Funny reading X/Twitter this morning - leaf fans lamenting about letting Dakota Joshua go (was a Toronto 5th round pick traded to St Louis). He kid of represents everything that team is lacking right now lol. I agree Myers were great But people just have it out for him. Every game I've been tok this year and last night included you can count on fans yelling "what was that Myers" "of course that's Myers" etc. Myers is a beauty. Him Zad and Soucy were noticeable intimidating last night 2 1

Popular Post AmyTheGma
I had a really funny(to me anyways) moment that I thought I would share. I had just been away for 18 days and I have this senior citizen parrot ironically named Handsome(missing a lot of his feathers and is 35 years old, big buggy eyes) He was very excited to see me and we always watch the Canucks games together and he really likes all the emotions that come during the games. He goes to bed at 7pm every night in true old guy form. I though he should be long asleep, but when the magical 12s segment happened I was so excited that I was screaming and carrying on and then from the darkness of his bedroom I hear him doing his best excitement whistle which is the one that you would make when an attractive lady walks by. He did about 4-5 of these and then went back to sleep. It really capped off a great night for me! Perfect first night back home! 8 1

From there on, the Rocket had lifted off the pad and nothing was stopping him. There's hope for Petey... there's so much talent there. 1 1

Fortunately, all the big guys on the Canucks d are also very good skaters, Myers especially
