Don't know if Hogz even played in the 3rd. I’m not gonna pile on Hoglander, this being his first playoff experience. Mikheyev doesn’t get a pass from me though. Lafferty is… Lafferty. DarthMelvin
DeSmith not my choice to start next game and the goal over his glove shoulder.... weak goal. Sauce backing up on that same goal...real boner there. Juulsen with 2 penalties in the playoffs is minor league play. Hronek lacks initiative. And Petey... this kid is a lost cause. He has deep mental issues when it comes to confidence.
Popular Post T. Demko
This is on Petey, who has been absolutely dreadful for an extended period of time. The absolute gift Hughes gave on the dying second of the 1st period should have been converted with no excuses. That completely changes the momentum of the game and it defines a very different 2nd period. You wonder why our PP is absolutely atrocious and there is no further explanation required than Petey. 60% of the PP strategy revoles around Petey and he is completely unreliable as it stands. You can see he has 0 confidence in himself, and what makes it worse is his linesmates are also doubting him and this is creating extra unrequired passes, forcing low converting shots,etc... I know this won't happen, but I would not be super mad to see Petey scratched for 1 game to send a wake up call. Our best player needs to be the best player. This is not acceptable. 2

Let QH skate around and put his skills to the best use. Create some chaos and confusion right now. They're incredibly easy to defend. wesley
Looks to me the Canucks were too intense so that everything was a bit off. Yes, it was a playoffs game but still a hockey game. They just need to play like a normal hockey game.
Popular Post farinush
Dominant game but missed a couple chances by an inch. Nothing wrong with a slice of humble pie… we need to come out in game 3 and have a strong 1st period. -Our big boys all had rough nights. Petey, Miller, Hughes -Mikheyev and Hoglander need to get involved -For the most part, I think our D played rock solid Podz - Miller - Boeser Hog - Lindy - Pettersson Joshua - Blueger - Garland Mikheyev - Suter - Lafferty Nashville is well-coached but they lack depth up front. I’m not concerned about our bottom 6 matching up with any line. Let’s stack the top 6 a bit now. onto the next… 5 1 2
kilgore
Their coach Brunette just studied the tapes and saw the Canucks never go to the front of the net. For the most part the Canucks prefer to pass around the outside until one of them...finally....attempts a long shot through. But because the Preds know the Canucks stay back they have plenty of time and room to get in front and just block, until they recover the puck themselves. Easy peasy. Even a long shot by Hughes isn't as good as a close in the blue paint chance....by anyone! I'm not picky 3

Thats hockey though. Some nights you get the bounces some nights you don’t. This team believes in the systems though. They didn’t fold down 3-1 and dominated play for most of the third. If they start a game like that they’ll be in much better shape. 4

If we're going to win this series 1) DeSmith is gonna have to play lights out, 2) our stars need to shine

They’ve had 60+ games to adjust their PowerPlay since teams figured it out and they haven’t. Pettersson has had 8 weeks to figure out his slump and he hasn’t.
