Don't care if we don't win every game but I wanna see some performances especially from the fringe players and those with something big to prove ( e.g everyone not names, Petey, JT, Demmer and Cpt Hugster). Let's take the momentum from Abby and the Young Stars and run that into the season and all the way to a Cup ( maybe in a few years lol ) !! Except Woo has a lot of runway left and Juulsson has nothing left. McWard still had runway but he’s more an offensive minded D. Do we have another young Right Shot D like Woo? Yes, at the beginning of the season almost everyone is healthy and every team is struggling to make final roster cuts. There is just not much room on NHL rosters at that time. Therefore, most "bubble" players will clear waivers even if they are good enough to maybe get claimed if there were sent down later in the season. In the last few days before the season starts, I think the Canucks could send Woo or Juulsen down without much worry about a waiver claim. I think Brisebois, Wolanin and Irwin would probably clear as well. It would be great if one of those guys can really establish himself as a good NHL level D instead of just a bubble or fringe guy. Filter in the youth with the vets, see who fits. Last 2 years they played all preseason games with Abby’s roster.
