There were at least two plays where he could have been sent alone and Hoglander failed to get him the puck. He may be snake bitten offensively but his line mates are not exactly helping him. This was a master class in defence - it took the whole team pulling on the rope. This is the pinnacle oilers team, after adding players for years and getting all of this supposed playoff experience, and we just defeated them with a 23 year old no experience goalie in net who wasnt exactly a wall back there. He’s struggled both times after contract negotiations but he’s also played great in the playoffs before and have had a great career do far overall. Hes becoming a more complete player even though the offence hasn’t been there.
