Could be… Makes me wonder if they’re gonna trade him the off-season because he totally looks out of place - he’s making good plays though - he’s playing amazing defence but yeah he just doesn’t look emotionally engaged You can’t help but wonder if he’s playing injured because he doesn’t have the speed for the drive or the shot that he used to have at the start of the season…

Is that similar to how interesting they were as well? He was talking about our goals, but really in his loser heart, thinking about how the only way the best get one past Silovs was a deflection/bounce off a Canucks body/stick. "Weird, strange" ... yep that's how we scored them alright, more like making Skinner our bitch. Also thinking about his own "Weird, strange" inability to do anything if space is taken away. Thats nuts. Who would have forced him into a contract? His mommy? He could have tested the FA waters and gone nearly anywhere for as much or more than he got here. He even left money in the table for the good of the team. Petey is as passionate as anybody on the team, he wants to win, and is obviously frustrated with his play, either due to some lingering injury, or a strange lack of confidence which I don't buy, but you know he FEELS pressure, internal from his high drive, and external from every fan and media type asking what's wrong with Petey. I've heard Petey compared to Mats Sundin, who was reportedly as passionate as anybody about winning, but Toronto fans were driven crazy by his aloof manner. Petey has always been a super private person, he shuns the limelight and only does media because he has to. He is also just 25 years old. I can't imagine how my 25-year-old ass would have dealt with the hopes and dreams of millions of Canucks fans hanging on my every shift, but it would not have been good. People compare Petey to JT, a passionate extrovert who is an open book to our fans. Fans love that, but that's not Petey's comfort zone. Let him be himself, he will figure it out. His defense this game was great. With defense will come his offense. Also, he's playing with two fourth liners. I love Hogs and am dying for him to take another step, but he needs to look for Petey, two or three times this game Petey was wide open especially for a breakaway, and Hogs either didn't pass it or sent it to Mik's stick to die. Popular Post BoDega
Well that was fun. Great comeback win. A reason to be happy, right? Most on here are, and then there are the others...those who just have to have something to complain about. "Yeah they won, big whoop, Isn`t that what they are payed to do? Did you not see how bad Cole was? Petey? Silovs? It´s Fkn embarrasing. Grown children crying. It´s hockey, there will be players underperforming, there will be players having a bad day, there will be losses, there will be injuries we dont know about. Maybe just enjoy the ride. Maybe support the team instead of bashing on them. Nucks in six. 7 1
DrJockitch
Our third string goalie let in some real softies and we still beat you, do you still think you’re the favourite? You didn’t even have the best Connor on the ice last night, do you still think your the favourite? 2 1

Popular Post IBatch
Just one game. Already our NSH tune -up series is paying dividends. EDM won't play and not sure they can play, low event tough, grinding hockey. Draisatl got a taste. Counter attack is how PIT won their cups. We've got some of that, and have a meaner defense. Life is good! 2 4 1

DownUndaCanuck
Miller stoned McDavid all night, we owned the puck in the offensive zone for a lot of his shifts. Same can be said for Boeser, they're both playing great defensively and Suter is just as clever. Big decision next game for who to start in net. Also Tocchet has to do something to get Petey going, most likely with his linemates. We did play well tonight down the stretch but cannot be spotting Edmonton 4 goals every night, have some mistakes we really need to clean up.

Junkyard Dog
6 hours ago, Jaimito said: I thought they already came out hard tonight. Paper tigers. They folded after 1 period in terms of carrying play and McDavid was a no show. I expect a more full effort from the oilers and their stars and we shouldn’t take them lightly Friday. They’re used to losing wild playoff games and bouncing back. Not too long ago against the Flames they lost a wild game 1 then dominated the rest of the series. We will have to match their energy by playing with the same effort we played with after 4-1 while staying out of the box.
