If he is not going to play him, Hogs should be benched and Podkolzin should play. I prefer him on Pettersson's line anyway. Hogs can't pass and is overwhelmed by the playoff intensity. Mikheyev had a better game and was good defensively and in the forecheck. Speaks to the usual Canucks story of poor drafting and or player development. We've got two guys in the last six or 7 drafts playing for us and until very recently, only one of them was even doing anything for us this post season and that is Hughes. Petey wasn't a defensive liability, but he is paid to score and finally did it tonight. Podz and Hogs aren't cut out for this right now. zduck14
Fuck mcdavid..... he can go blow another ref..... thinking they EARNED that win is a fuckin joke. Refs handed it to them. His missed 4 minute penalty and Kanes missed slew foot were a massive difference. Waht a fuckin bitch!!!!!

High sticks not called, Boarding penalty on EP40 and slough foot on Hughes someone is going to get seriously injured Team needs to lawyer up and tell the league that Sutherland needs to be banned from doing Canucks games unless they'd like to be defendants in court. Enough is enough. 1
-Buzzsaw-
Here is the list of missed penalties on the Oilers on Hughes - Late hit in the corner - High Stick by McDavid to the face (deliberate) - Interference by Hyman in open ice, puck nowhere near - Slewfoot by Kane (deliberate attempt to injure) Anyone else remember any others? Darius
1 minute ago, 24K said: The team is afraid when both 97 and 29 are on the ice. We can shut them down easily when they are separated but together they are just too deadly. Hope is they tire themselves out by playing like 30min every night. for sure.. When the coilers have their other three lines on the ice its like our 4th line out there ...they might have a half decent shift but you know they are unlikely to do anything. If this goes 7 97 and 29 will be bagged no matter who wins the series.

Get Pettersson new linemates. Hoglander just can’t pass the puck to Pettersson for whatever reason and Mikheyev is just Mikheyev. Not Hughes, but Suter ran interference on McJesus, then he did later in the game on Zadorov and the officials just some how fucking missed that one too. I predict he'lll be sacrificed for other signings like Big "Z" and Joshua amongst a couple of others and once he doesn't have QH on his side to make hiom look good, he'll be just another $4M defenceman. He has Klingberg written all over him tbh, not necessarily in terms of style of play. But he's gonna price himself out of a good situation and settle for 1 year deals. I am willing to bet management offered roughly 6.75mil and he is chasing Sergachev dollars. I'd trade him for a mid 1st and a prospect at the draft and target Tanev in the offseason. His playoff play has been really good. And also kick tires on Pesce. Hronek, Myers, and Cole out. Pesce and Tanev in. Please. 1

Do you know how many times I've added a comment on the PGT's on this board this season saying "Cole had a tough game tonight"????? This Shit has been going on all season with him and it's certainly no surprise to see him F-up like this in both games. He'll be gone next year! J-23
Lindholm has to go against the McDavid line. He’s the best centre defensively. I think the 2nd line could be good defensively against McDavid. Time to go back to Garland - Blueger - Joshua. Hoglander - Miller - Boeser Suter - Lindholm - Pettersson Garland - Blueger - Joshua Mikheyev - Lafferty - Giuseppe 1 1

hockeyfan-observer
Sucks to lose in OT - Decent game by the Canucks but the one thing I worried about was McD going crazy in the third and OT. In the league, possibly only him and McKinnon can carry a team like that and alter ANY outcome. All the post game comments on TV two nights ago saying this series was over etc..need to tone it down just a bit ..well, now we have a series and we will need to win at least one in EDM where they have the last change and can match McD with anyone of their choosing. RT and company will go over the tapes to see what worked and did not tonight and make adjustments the next game. Obviously sitting back in this game / Colorado does not work too well. Canucks also need to get some additional scoring beside the usual players - Hogs, Mikheyev, Laffy - not much production from them the whole playoffs so far. Regardless, the players should rest up tonight and get back to drawing board tomorrow.
