Darius
one of the main reasons i hate that team, aside from their large cast of unlikeable characters and well known dirtbags, is the smug media and fans that surround them. Spector writes the Canucks never stood a chance last night when they put together the only dangerous players they have on one line...so you had to play them for half the game , get a bunch of non calls in your favor, get the game to OT ...but they never stood a chance? lol 1 2

Hope they see him as more of a priority than Hronek to be honest. Gritty performer + character guy… we need more of them! Popular Post CanuckFan
https://www.nhl.com/news/vancouver-canucks-look-to-slow-down-edmonton-oilers-top-scorers Notable quotes from Tocchet “When you're defending all the time, you don't have juice to play offense,” Tocchet said. “When we do have it, I think we just have to possess it more, be willing to hold it more when we move our feet, and in the third period, especially in the third, we weren't in that mode. We were in the mode of just flip pucks out. … We need some players to dig in for us. You have to dig in if you want to win.” Tocchet wants those minutes to come with a heavier toll. He felt his players backed off too much, understandably worried about losing 1-on-1 matchups if they challenged such skilled forwards. “We're respecting them too much,” Tocchet said. “We're coming off checks. We were stick-checking too much and that was the disappointing thing for me.” Let's see how our boys respond to being called out like that by the coach. 4
I.AM.THE.WALRUS
Stay out of the penalty box and we’ve got this Edmonton isn’t that good after their top two guys We need to get some decent refs that can spot an obvious high sticking penalty - like what the fuck was that all about and Hughes was even cut… We should’ve won that game what a joke… Onward to Edmonton Go Canucks Go!!! best of five series starts Sunday 3

CanuckDownUnder
With the 5 on 5 play, I don't see why they would adjust a lot from last game. They need to stay calmer in their own end and trust their breakout system vs. dumping it out (which they did way too much in the 3rd period in Game 2). That might have been fatigue from chasing a lot during the game but that is just going to allow Edmonton to stay on the offense. Staying out of the box will continue to be huge - hopefully that is the last they see of Sutherland.

They can't keep up being a 1 line them against them after going through us if they do get pass us. I for one would love to see McDavid and Drasitle never win a cup. At least not with Edmonton. The Aquaman
It’s all good guys….. I didn’t expect us to go up 2-0 in the series. This is a true Dog Fight. I am not trying to troll the Oilers….all they have is their PP. Game by Game. I Love my Canucks, but this will be a 7 game series……….. Game 7, will be a flip of a coin…..50/50 chance. Go Canucks! I called a 4-2 series against the Predators. Edited May 12 by The Aquaman

Popular Post Dr. Crossbar
Time to get back down to business! Need to lay the pain on McD, shutdown and shadow him like crazy! Popular Post AnotherCanucksFan
In Game 3 the mindset should be: No matter the score keep an Offensive mindset and keep the puck in the Oilers zone. Shoot from the point, battle in the corners, crash the net, toss it in - whatever it takes just keep it in their zone. IF the Oilers bring it into the Canuck's zone, then toss it high or slap it hard along the boards. No fancy plays or stick handling to battle Oilers when they are in their zone. That's tiring and only leads to disorganized moments in their own zone. Shoot, shoot, shoot, and then shoot more. Deflections, shots from everywhere. No more 15-2 shot periods. On the Canucks PP, they need to look at the Oilers PP for what to do. Outnumber downlow with a guy in the bumper. Make the Oilers pay for their trips and crosschecks and it will make them to be more honest. On the Oilers PP, stay downlow and get sticks on any bumper plays. At least force them to shoot from the point. Hit, hit, hit, and hit again. McDavid and Draisaitl need to be aware they're going to be knocked down or hit at any moment. No more waiting for the Duo to skate into their zone without resistance. Edited May 13 by AnotherCanucksFan 5
Breadnbutta
I was creeping oilers pages on reddit. They are having massive 1000 plus comment threads on playing either the avs or stars. Implying that once our "puck luck" dries up this series is a cake walk. And apparently we are worse than leaf fans lol. I love it. We gotta take both in Edmonton. Just put a stranglehold on this series. We shut down mcdrai and they have nothing. 1
Popular Post CanuckMan
Zadorav has quickly become a leader in the room and on the ice. Losing him to free agency would be a mistake. He has to be the #1 priority on D to sign. Hronek has 0 points in 8 games. That’s insane for how the regular season went for him. He’s definitely 2nd or 3rd in line to be signed after Myers. 4 1
CanuckMan
I’m surprised for the style of play Hoglander has that he’s only got 1 assist in 8 games. Seems like he would excel in the playoffs. Does not help that Lafferty, Hronek, Myers, and Mikheyev have goose eggs so far in the playoffs. Guys that you thought would provide a little offence. Miller with 9 pts in 8 games leading the way. Boeser with 8 pts in 8 games. Nice surprises in Zadorav and Joshua with 7 pts each in 8 games. Hughes with 6 pts in 8 games and Lindholm with 5 pts in 8 games isn’t bad either.
Jaimito
Make the adjustments and win. If that was oils best, they barely won in OT by a fluke goal. 1
Elias Pettersson
Four penalties that even a blind person would call. Tell me this didn’t affect the outcome of the game. Four pieces of shit that play for the Oilers. The dirtiest team in hockey… 1
