[GDT] Stanley Cup Playoffs R2 G4 (Van lead series 2-1) Vancouver Canucks @ Oilers - Tues May 14 6:52pm PT/9:52pm ET - Edmonton

Recommended Posts

Canucks D has to be aware of Drie's office at the side of the net on PKs, and keep one d over there on him.  jeez how many times has he done that, all alone at from the side?

You either cut off the passing lane and leave McD open in the slot, or you cover McD and hope Drai whiffs.

That's why they are so lethal

No, you just don't commit three guys to cover McDavid... there was a mixup in coverage.

They will get it fixed.

Well, and the refs buy their diving. That helps them a lot.

It is basically all they have - we just can not give the refs any reason as they clearly have an agenda

Exactly, need to stop causing our own issues that lead to penalties. That play with Cole was panic, the icing with Juulsen was panic, both had time to play the puck instead of just trying to flip it.

Tochett doesn't have them ready tonight

Would be scoreless if we were playing against a men's team instead of these gutless circus seals.

Cole can be in way tighter on Draisaitl there though.

Read it how, McD had the puck in the slot.  A goalie's job is to follow the puck and trust his skaters to take away passes.

That said, that's a pretty ridiculous play......I can't believe silovs got as much of it as he did

Puck in the slot on the backhand. Back up in your net when two guys are on him. It's IQ you need at the NHL level. He's not gonna release a backhand from high slot, nor will he be able to pull forehand. You go half crease in those scenarios expecting a pass.

They get their points but not the big ones.

Keep to the system, get some more pressure. Linds let's go

Least of the three, but still a significant threat.  Exactly why you don't take stupid, undisciplined penalties

Please.

Draisaitl had one of his fake back spasms.

The game is on mute for a while.

I'm sick of the non-stop Oiler propaganda.

It really does suck the enjoyment out...I just can't understand why so many in the media are so pro-Oilers. I am obvioulsy supremely biased but they are the most unlikeable team in the league

He goes backhand-forehand before anyone even knows he did it.

There's really no stopping it
