That's true, but that's a pretty sketchy call there, imo.  Usually that's called on a charging.......I've never seen that on a reverse hit

You can't jump while standing in one position, from a stationary starting point???

 

That is not a penalty, and never has been. I can pretty much guarantee that is the first time in NHL history where a player has been called for charging when not being the one throwing the hit. Why? Because you can't charge when contact is being iniated on you!

I understand that much of it goes back to his rationalizing of the crap we dealt with years ago and his burrows rant and no love for his attempted apology

 

But all that aside, I always enjoyed his references to Canadiana, music, literature and other random stuff that at least offers a different style than most of the former players and insiders we're forced to endure

 

That said, how can you sit there and rattle off a litany of nonsense calls we've been given (or not given) and in the same breath say, But it's a great game??? No dude, it WOULD BE a great fucking game if the refs weren't making a massive joke of the greatest tournament on the planet (not just ours but many games have been clearly managed in favour of league favourites).
