That Clendennig guy could been good if he had any lateral movement. I think that we could have retrieved Forsling when CHI put him on waivers. A lot of “hockey minds” wrote him off. If we brought back all the players we traded away hoping they would turn into gold, we'd have a reason to look forward to the draft lottery... Its the same for all the teams... He couldn't crack a pretty deep Canes blue line (still pretty solid today). Ace amateur scout dealt him for a scratched (losing) lottery ticket. His head coach on the Black Hawks believed in him to the point of him playing a bunch of NHL games. Seems like after that coach was canned, Forslings status was in limbo. Same head coach was later rehired for the Panthers and big surprise, Forslings found a new lease on life there. Look how a Jack Adams trophy winner for us has changed the outlook of our club.
