PureQuickness
This is a name that I've used for a long time. It was a name I used when I was a kid, but it was retired for a while. I've since come back to it. I had another account name on here, but it had run its course on the old CDC.

Popular Post canuck73_3
Canuck73 was taken, my favourite NASCAR driver is Dale Earnhardt so I added _3 considered 8 for Dale Jr. but canuck73_8 didn’t have the same ring to it. Popular Post Strawbone
I created it when I was browsing the original CDC forums late one drunken night years ago. I think it might have been some kind of variant of Luongo’s Strombone Twitter handle but I really can’t remember! I didn’t use the account for months and when I went to register I learned I’d already created one and decided to keep my dumb user name. 2
Hogs and Podz
... Not sure... LOL! But to put the history before this name. Originally my handle was Rodishred. A mix of two 'high end' prospects we'd just drafted. Shreader and Rodin. Obviously neither of these guys turned out as impact players for the nucks or any other NHL team. Rodin made a comeback attempt. Looked promising in training camp and then got injured again. So yah... Glad I got it right this time around! The pic is of Steve McQueen... Coolest actor ever! This from the best car chase movie ever! Bullet. He did all the stunt driving... In a 67 mustang fastback... What a fuckin boss! D-Money
Vintage Don Taylor doing Canuck highlights: "Daniel D-Money Sedin" Loved the Sedins. And my first name is Daniel. Seemed to fit, never changed it. Although...I usually go by Dan. So instead of 22 Sedin, I went with the 2 Hamhuis Jersey instead. Edited May 20 by D-Money 2
DANJR
I use a quasi acronym from my real name. It's supposed to be pronounced DANGER.....but everyone calls me Dan Jr. But is is Don ANderson JR. 14 years ago after my divorce I changed my socials to Cobra_Mustang on most every other platform.....but my account on CDC was one of my first ever social accounts so I don't want to change it. 1
Popular Post IBatch
Lack imagination so used my first initial and half my last name. The photo is me and my Dad, after a day of big game fishing. Fanny packs and all. Was a great day. Otherwise it would probably be something like this: 4

Optimist Prime
Originally, my forum name when the original fan forum became CDC and a bunch of us piled into CDC from the original forum, was 'vain0'. Vaino was my grandfathers pet name. My grandmother would call him this as a term of endearment. In Finn it means 'persecuted one'. I added the zero instead of an 'o' at the end in reference to a 'vain little zero', which was an historical quote around atheism. Something about the difference between 'good' and 'god' is just a vain little zero. Shortly after that people were teasing me that I am always an optimist, and I said something like being the primal optimist or what not.. and its been Optimist Prime or Primal Optimist ever since. HUGE shout out to anyone here that remembers the forums before they were hosted by CDC, and cheers for coming over to the new Canucks Fan Forum, a third home for a handful of long time online supporters. Popular Post kilgore
Interesting forum topic. Keep our brains from going into overload thinking about the game tonight Mine started when I joined CDC. It was a homage to the lead character in a Kurt Vonnegut novel, Breakfast of Champions. A book that was one of a few that changed my thinking when I was younger. Don't want to get too deep but it put the final nail in the coffin for me escaping the effects of growing up in an fundamentalist religious house. The premise, that the main character finds out he is just a character in a novel, and the author, like god, is a big jokester putting him into different situations. Don't take life too seriously. If good things happen, if tragedy happens, its out of your hands. If there is a God, he's an amoral jokester. Kind of a cynical way to view the universe, I admit. But the best I've found. That philosophy had helped me live with the Canucks 54 years of suffering and teasing us. 2 2

Popular Post Dr. Crossbar
Well, late one night after a horrible Canucks loss a few years ago, a really bad blown third period lead, you know the ones, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and my best friend was standing there with four crying Canucks fans who were at the game all dressed in 94 skate jerseys. They were standing there at my door, crying, inconsolable, rocking back and forth, zombie-like, and spewing non-stop negativity. One even had a straightjacket with him. My friend was like, "Dude, you're a massive Canucks fan. I thought I'd bring them here to see if you could help them. I didn't know what else to do." I didn't know what to do either but - peeking over their shoulders, eyes darting to see if anyone was looking - I said, "Come on, quick, get them in here." Then I thought of something. I ran to my bedroom and grabbed four autographed Pavel Bure pucks from my autograph puck Tickle Trunk and then gave each crying fan their own puck ... their eyes lit up ... but ... still it wasn't enough. They kept crying. So I grabbed one of the autographed Bure pucks and told everyone to "watch this!" I then threw it directly at the street hockey net I had luckily just set up in my living room ... the puck - instead of going in the net - it hit the crossbar, flipped in the air, landed on my TV remote, turned on my TV, and on the television was none other than ... Pavel Bure ... highlights of the 94 season ... and all of Bure's goals as a Canuck. They all stopped crying ... silence ... and then they started to cheer. My best friend, speechless, his mouth agape, whispered in surprise, "Whoa, dude, I knew I came to the right place. I'm forever calling you Dr. Crossbar." And there you have it. No crying. --- In reality ... I made it up years so I could comment on TSN Talkbacks at the bottom of various articles on their website. 3 1 5
