Is he playing injured? Not producing like he did before. Le Grande Bouche plays on the best PP in the NHL. That's a lot of short-handed scoring. Quinn plays on a streaky PP that doesn't produce much. 1 1 1

Either way, I'm glad that the team I cheer for plays with integrity. I know I may be wearing homer glasses when I watch the games but when you have guys like Kane, Draisaitl, McDavid and Hyman whining all the time it really shows you what kinda team the Oilers are. The other thing that has blown me away in this series is how bad Petey is getting roughed up, elbowed, tackled, hit from behind etc in this series yet McDavid seems to be getting the calls. It's why I want the Oilers out and I would never cheer for them. They (like their fans) are entitled and think the world revolves around them. I am sooooo sick of hearing where Leon and Connor are in career playoff points when they haven't been past the 3rd round yet and to knock them out again in the 2nd round would be amazing!!!! 6 1 1

Not only that Nashville and Edmonton both have targeted Quinn and in regards to Bouchard he is only as good as his playing partner and paired with Ekholm has allowed him to focus on his offense. Defensively I'll take Quinn over Evan any day of the week. 1

Drive-By Body Pierce
The Oilers lack depth scoring, have questionable defence and even more questionable goaltending. No way they beat Dallas, let alone win the cup. So, it's gotta be the Canucks! Let's go boys!!!!

Popular Post syntheticity
All the pressure is on the Oilers and their closing window. Three keys for us: 1. Grind them down with an aggressive, sustained forecheck from all four lines. 2. Better sticks & positioning to limit Edm's stretch passes & easy entries into our zone. 3. Stay disciplined. Importance of a lead: If we can accomplish 1-3, and do so early on, then we have a very good chance of building an early lead. And then I can see Edm getting exposed from taking chances under the weight of the expectations foisted on them. What's at stake: It's not just a trip to the WCF; it's also a victory over the media narrative that Edm is entitled to win before their window closes. If we win on Monday, that all comes crashing down. 4

One game from the final 4, basically without Demko, is incredible. Playing with house money.. very nice to win, but its all gravy!!

But humbling the Oilers & their undeserved media support on Monday needs to viewed as an essential ingredient in the main course at this point.. It's a big loss not having the team's biggest goal scorer in this game. This game will require a full team effort from the Canucks. The stars need to shine.
