Out coached in all the playoffs, lose to a replacement coach. Good job Rick Tocchet

Ya I liked knob decisions he made throughout the series. Especially the goalie changes he did and the timing of it.

Thankyou Canucks for an exciting season that kept me looking forward to the next game.Thankyou to the fans in the stands that stayed and cheered the team before they left the ice. I know it meant a lot to the players. Could be the difference to a couple of players staying next year.

I think we need to sign Z, Dak and Hronek. Let Lindholm walk only because we probably can’t afford him. PA and JR need to be creative to fill the holes in our lineup. And dump Cole. He’s a huge liability.

im really happy with the progress we made this year.

Go canucks go. So proud of this team and this season has brought so much joy.

Most importantly I got to experience an amazing run and many memories that my daughter and I made on this playoff run that I'll never forget.

In PA and JR we trust to make sure this team comes back bigger and better next season.

Something that I think management needs to do:

Bring in a Powerplay specialist/Offensive specialist.

The team is not getting the results it needs from the PP and offensively 5 on 5 it is too predictable.

Too much of the Green offensive style is still a part of the way the forwards play.

They need a lot of work on how to use the ice, how to criss cross to throw off defenders, how to use the trailing player and how to use the drop pass.

Every team in the league uses these systems but I rarely see them from the Canucks... too much bread and butter, up and down the wing... side to side passing.

One thing to point out.

Bouchard was probably one of the most important players in the Deadmonton line up.

He also came up big when they needed him.

Nurse is a joke, but Ekholm and Bouchard is probably as important if not more so than Drysaddle.

We need a defence that can take some of the heat off of Hughes.

Hronek took until this game to come up with a goal. And he was pretty meh defensively.

The Canucks players are going to have a lot of things to work on.

But special teams just killed us. We got better at penalty killing, but the guys can't blow 2 games with 2 man advantages and not score.

Tocc told the players mid-season to be quicker on passes, don't hold onto the puck and get more shots on goal.

They did that for a couple of games then went back to bad habits.

They got to get out of this perfect pass/goal mindset, and score ugly, gritty, flukey goals, as well as picture perfect goals.

The last 2 games were within reach but they came out and shat the bed. Whole team has been off kilter since ASG. Some bad luck losing Boeser but they had to do better than this. Even near the end they couldn't enter the Oiler zone well at all.

It honestly came down to Petey.

We needed him to take over one of these last 2 games but he didn't.

He was a supporting player these playoffs.

Guys like Sissons, Halloway were more noticeable than Petey.

That being said, I really do think he's dealing with an injury on top of a fragile mind. Someone speculated a mild hernia and I would tend to agree.

The guy doesn't have that breakaway speed he used to have

So many times I saw lesser players catch him from behind on a rush.

It also doesn't help that he's probably on some sort of dive list and the refs refuse to call anything when he gets fouled.

I haven't given up on Petey.

I think he puts this playoffs behind him and comes back stronger next year.

I mean look at Boeser. Did anyone think he'd ever be a 2 way force like he is now?

I thought it'd be a win if he could be somewhat responsible while chipping in 65 points but he's been unreal. Watch Petey surprise a lot of ppl next season.

A disappointing end to the season but I enjoyed the ride. The PP let the team down the last few games. Had a chance in the 1st but couldn't generate anything. They need to address and fix that. The PK was OK, goaltending also let the team down. As much as I like Silovs ,whom I think will be a good goalie but is 2 years away from that, he as been mediocre these playoffs. I would have started DeSmith against the Oilers as he had success against them this year. The team structure and play is a lot different with Demko in net. They are a lot more aggressive and take more chances. Silovs got exposed a lot this series, he really only had one good game this Series. Don't know what is happening with Pettersson but I'm sure something will be revealed, I know he will be the most pissed off with his play and will be back better, stronger next year. The Canucks made great strides this year. Next year will be the Canucks year when they win cup. A few minor changes and this team will be a contender for years to come. I'm excited about this team and confident in the core players. Edmonton will get rocked by Dallas, lets enjoy the embarrassment that will be delivered on them.

This is why we need a PP specialist hired and working with them during the summer.

I think I would have been ok having Hronek waste a few at ekholms ankles the first couple of games.

Those types of plays are what will open up cross seam passes eventually.

Um no. He's tantalizing, like Kane is, but character issues, man...

He's got issues without a doubt. But i've never read anywhere that he was disliked by his teammates.

I think with the right amount of support and leadership Nichushkin would be a huge get for this team.

Tough choices coming, they'll likely have to dump a few players(trade or let them go). Should try to re-sign Zadorov and Lindholm, likely have to let Myers go because of cap. Mikhyev should go for sure. Try to keep Dakota and Blueger who were pretty good.

Pettersson needs a playmaker/shooter, not just a shooter.  Hogs can be the pure shooter, but they need that other winger to be capable of being a setup guy.

Right now Hogs cannot or will not pass consistently well.

I agree 100% this team needs a playmaker, that can keep puck possession with their skating and hands and vision. we have all shooters and they are all slow af and avg passers/playmakers (vision).

We also need that puck possession playmaker for the power play besides Hughes or Hughes has to be be more agressive like Makar. Miller and Petey get closed down along the boards and dont have any escape clauses. problem is the playmakers are usually the best players and we cant afford any. Besides Marner who is available?

I like Lindy but I would take this kind of player for our top 6 over him. If Petey can improve his skating and move his feet more as Tochet keeps saying than keep Lindy. Petey has the vision and hands but gets to stagnant and gets closed down.

Marner is flashy but not big enough for playoff hockey. The market is slim with all these super deals that last 10 years, lol.

Never wrote him off, just said I'm not a believer. I imagine they didn't make 10+mil before proving themselves either.

True - they are putting a lot of $$ towards him based largely on potential. If I remember right (always a question) the Sedins had to prove themselves before they got a big pay day.

I believe Lekkerimäki can be the player needed on Peteys line. He takes care of the puck and is lethal. So the other team has to cover to lethal shots.
Then that line needs a Heavy player to take some heat.

It was a good push and a little too late. We should have played desperate hockey from the drop of the puck and we would have had a great chance to win tonight!! Garland was great and Silov played well as he stopped a few sure goals. Now we just need to re-sign Big Z, Lindholm, and Joshua to 3-4yr contracts. JT Miller didn't have Boeser and I thought he was quiet tonight. Petey tried hard but still for some reason he is not skating fast with the puck at all the entire playoffs. He really needs to put on 15lbs of muscles during this off season as he sort of reminds me of Bambi the cartoon baby deer. And hope Boeser gets well as we definitely missed him tonight. Overall it was a good season with lots of positives and we made it to the 2nd round. We will be better for next season as we are moving to the right direction in this organization finally!!

Yeah I was wondering if Lekke would be that type but thought of him more as another shooter but havent watched much of his game recently. Definitely some high end skill to add to the PP.

Maybe but he's probably at least 1-2 years away from graduating into the Canucks lineup. In the meantime, we need a find a top line winger to pair with Petey, to give Lek time to properly develop.
