Pretty sure if the doctor's said he could play, and didn't need surgery, he'd play. If the docs and trainers said stay off of it for 2-3 months, I'm pretty sure they'd shut him down.

He said the more he played the more it hurt. Wouldn't 2 weeks have helped a bit

oh yeah im the most worried about joshua underperforming

1 good season is not enough to pay him 3m+

Yeah its a tough call. Could just be nerves in the playoffs. He made a lot of mental mistakes. If he can clean that up, and work harder in the post season, he can be valuable.

Remember when many thought he fell to the ice pretty easily, or can't do those dekey pete moves, knee issue now makes sense

Also explains why he jumped up to make that open-ice reverse hit - because it would've hurt like a bugger to anchor the leg on the ice and absorb that hit.  Too bad it attracted that "charging" penalty for the half an mm he "travelled" to make the hit.  :classic_rolleyes:

im so confused re: not being keen on hiring a pp specialist.

the inability of our powerplay to adapt to penalty killers standing up at the line seems like a coaching issue, not a skills issue.

Si If EP had a knee injury since Jan. why the heck didn't they rest him at the end of the season

because it's prolly not a injury that'll heal if he sits out a couple games?? prolly will take like a month or 2 of rest for it to completely heal? i've had issues with my knees albeit i'm not an athlete like these guys.. all i do in terms of activity is ride my road bike i didn't pay much attention to it at first but it literally didn't go away till i stopped biking for winter time and took another 2 months for it to completely go away.

they also don't have the luxury of resting EP of couple weeks.. with lindholm out for the chunk he was out for.. who else does the canucks have left to put in their lineup when the division was on the line? we gonna go bleugar as our 2c during a tough stretch of the season?

I haven't heard the interviews in full yet. Did miller specifically mention the fans chanting his name?

I haven’t watched the full interviews either but from what I can gather over Twitter, he eluded to the fact that his passionate character is more accepted when things are going well rather than when things are not, and he knows that now. Whether or not he specifically mentioned the fans in the exit interviews today, I don’t know yet, but he has genuinely sounded touched every time he’s been asked about it in the past couple of weeks.

Petey just sounds very disgruntled and even when asked about the fan support, his comments do not seem genuine. Again, he sounds very much like Naslund, who said what he had to say out of obligation, but never really felt like he meant it

I thought I heard "shit" live. Confirmed.

At least he knows, hopefully, he does something about it this summer, the dude hasn't gained a pound since we drafted him, which would be fine if he was 200 lbs but he's a beanpole at 6'2 176 lbs.  There is no excuse for a professional athlete to make no progress in 6 years.

lol. Not sure why you say he has made no progress in 6 years. That’s just not true. He isn’t the same as when he first arrived, regardless of what stats say. He certainly wasn’t throwing hits in his first few years like he was this year even on a bad knee. He had a rough second half of this year, he will improve over the summer. He will be fine
