elvis15
When it was a 4th line goon that got hurt, he wasn't missed that much in the lineup. That third line has been together for a long time though, so it might have a bigger effect.

Injury is part of the game. Unless you prefer getting pushed around. 1 1

Exactly.. his toughness is a huge reason why that 3rd line is playing so good. WHL rocks
3 minutes ago, stawns said: And if DJ is out long term? Worth it? Ofcourse.. We've had the best 3rd line for most of the year. If he's out for 4 weeks who cares. We're 1st in the league because he's a big part of the 3rd line. The 3rd line is so good because of his physical style of play and willingness to stick up for his smaller linemates. This is what Garland said today: “For me, as a player who’s under-sized, to have a guy like that — and I’ve played with them in the my career — and I guess the word is ‘thankful’ is not the best word. But to have someone that good on your line and will do it (fighting) for you, it says a lot about him and it’s been fun to play with him this year. “Our line just likes to hanging out outside the rink and not even talking hockey. You become really close and Dak is definitely a lot louder this year and more comfortable with our group. The confidence is coming through.”

WHL rocks
9 minutes ago, stawns said: Toughness isn't fighting. Is it worth losing that grit because of fighting Him fighting allows guys like Garland to do what they do. Creates more room and opposing players think twice before hammering a guy like Garland... Garland playing comfortably and confidently is a different player from Garland getting roughed up and man handled by opposing team..
