RWJC
Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic is reporting that Los Angeles Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson is expected to test the free-agent market on July 1st. The Skelleftea, Sweden native dealt with injuries this season and dressed in just 18 games. While he was limited in playing time, the 31-year-old had solid numbers in a low sample size, posting six goals and nine assists. Arvidsson has been a good point producer since joining the Kings via trade in July 2021, in 161 games as a King he has registered 52 goals and 71 assists. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2024/05/evening-notes-hintz-hakanpaa-arvidsson.html#ref=home
RWJC
Might be an option depending on how our extensions play out. Small physical stature though. https://www.nhl.com/kings/player/viktor-arvidsson-8478042 Edited May 27 by RWJC

But need to ABSOLUTELY make sure he is healthy... no trading for a guy who immediately is put on LTIR and stays there for the rest of his contract. 1
Captain insano
I wouldn’t hate this option, can’t see him getting more than 3m if he wants to join a contender and with our Swedish connection’s I see us being top of his list, dunno if he’s a tocchet guy tho, can’t see Rick putting up with one of the biggest embellishers in the league, his speed would be a welcomed addition tho
Devron
This guy is a turd. Diver to the max. That said could be a stop gap for a year or 2 until Lekkerimaki is producing top
DexM94
nice another swede.

He has put up top six numbers for several seasons... except this last one when he was injured. He looked pretty good in playoffs coming back after the injury. As I said... all depends on (a) him checking out medically, (b) getting him on a discount.
JeremyCuddles
Pretty much Garland. Would love to have him, but size up front is already lacking. If we end up moving Hogs+ for Necas like some suggest. Might be worth circling around on Arvidsson. Depending on his ask. We don't want another highly paid middle 6 winger though. Love Garland, would love him more at 3.8mil instead of his 4.95mil. Arvidsson is also 31, so he might chase a bigger deal than we'd ideally want to give him. We'll see what the market dictates though. He might have to sign a 1x4mil. Given how many games he missed due to injury last year.

Re-sign Lindholm, let Myers and Zadorov walk, and sign Klingberg, bring up Karlsson, Lekkermaki, Willander, D-Petey and we've done it! We've gone FULL SWEDE

DownUndaCanuck
He's a bit like Garland always a bit gritty, plays above his size but nothing amazing. I'd rather we focus on our own guys.
MeanSeanBean
Hard pass. There's no way we can have Hoglander, Garland and Arvidsson flanking the wings on our first 3 lines. Doesn't matter the fight in the dog if you have that many undersized wingers in the top 9. Now, if we're trading Hoglander to Carolina for Necas or whatever, consider me intrigued. Last year only played 18 games and will be 32 next season. In 2022/23 he had 59 points in 77 games. He can produce and maybe if around 3.5 mill or less per season could be a surplus value contract. I mean we did have some lengthy runs of PDG and Mikheyev in our top 6 last season. Edited May 27 by flickyoursedin
Dizzle
Older version of Hoglander.
