I would love to bring Reinhart here, but to do that he first needs to WANT to be here and willing to take a discount down to about 9 million per, maybe 9.5. I would never say that it's not doable, but Canucks would need to commit to a specific level of restructure that I'm not sure they are ready to do, but hey, who knows. Depends what management decides they really want to do. You don't have Arizona any longer to dump contracts on, so that complicates moving someone like Mikheyev. Maybe something like, to San Jose with our 2nd round pick next year in exchange for a 4th round pick next year might be doable without retention. It would mean trading Hronek (something that might already be in the works if his ask is too high. Maybe to Carolina for Necas and their 1st round pick in 2024. If you could convince Tanev to come back for say 4 million, we could just squeak in a 22 man roster that would look like this with 461k...ish: The only other way this would work, bundle the 1st round pick from Carolina with Garland and go get another natural RD Would love to see him here, but would definitely take some fairly major surgery and I think we need more depth on RD to make it work for a full season. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Carter Verhaeghe could be the casualty on their team and maybe a good backup plan for us if Lindholm leaves.
