nuckin_futz
As rumoured about the 'Cawthorning' of Gaetz has begun.............. House Republicans begin leaking scandalous new details about Matt Gaetz’s personal life Over the weekend House Republicans leaked to the media that they were planning to expel Matt Gaetz if he ousted Kevin McCarthy as Speaker. After Gaetz went through with the ouster, House Republicans leaked to the media that they were indeed looking to expel him. Now they’re starting to lay the groundwork for it. House Republican Markwayne Mullin told CNN on Wednesday that Matt Gaetz used to show off his sex tapes to other Republicans on the House floor. Mullin also claimed that Gaetz liked to brag about crushing up viagra and chasing it with energy drinks so he could go all night. Gaetz is denying all of this. But it’s clear what’s happening here. House Republicans are now starting to put dirt out there about Matt Gaetz in order to steer the media and the public toward Gaetz’s scandals. This way, if and when House Republicans move to expel Gaetz, the public will already be prepped on why it’s happening. Of course House Republicans have also leaked that they intend to base the expulsion on the findings of the House Ethics Committee, which is focused on allegations that Gaetz engaged in underage sex trafficking and other heinous crimes. So if they do expel Gaetz, it looks like they’re going to drop a massive bombshell on him. In the meantime, we’ll see how much more dirt House Republicans keep incrementally leaking to the media about Matt Gaetz. Remember, while Gaetz was able to get seven other House Republicans to go along with ousting Kevin McCarthy, more than two hundred House Republicans voted against Gaetz’ motion to oust McCarthy. This lack of a Speaker was the last thing they wanted, and now they seem intent on taking Gaetz down in retaliation. Bring it on. Gaetz should have been ousted a long time ago. 1

Well, they ARE Republicans and this IS the first chapter in the Republican playbook, is it not? I have absolutely NO sympathy for Matt Gaetz as these are the 'rules' he's been playing by all along. He somehow seemed to skate away clean from the whole sex trafficking/sex with a minor thing which screamed cover-up to many so maybe it's time he started having to deal with the same sort of shit he's been dealing out to others all along. Also... perhaps he should be looking over his shoulder as the investigation into the collaborating House members that were up to their eyeballs in the organization, planning etc of Jan 6. Matt Gaetz desesrves everything that is coming his way in spades. It was kinda funny to watch him bluster and blow and repeatedly shoot himself in the feet when he went 'all in'... only to end up on his face in the muck of his own creation. 2 1 2

Trump is crushing him into the dust. There's speculation that the Republicans are considering pivoting and putting their support behind Nikki Haley now since she's moving up in the poles, and they'll get a certain amount of votes from the left since there are plenty of leftists that want to see a vagina (any vagina) in office. The single most damning thing about this is how they evidently KNEW and KNOW about this behaviour and his actions as well as potentially his being a sex trafficking pedophile and was given priority within the party regardless while they protected him from the media and law for his crimes. Until he was of no use to them anymore. All I will say is that for the most part, Biden is just as wrong a TRUMP was. A border wall isn't really going to change the fact that the overwhelming majority of illegals in the US are due to visa overstays. People who entered legally. And for large sections of the border, a wall would have to be built significant distance away from the actual border, making access for actual US landowners in the area a nightmare. It was mostly wrong then, and wrong now. So, people who hate TRUMP can also be critical of Joe. Interesting.

I don't have any inside info on this Administration, but if I had to guess, I'd say that this was strategic. Another section of wall will do little to curb the flow of people seeking asylum, especially if the Biden Admin also hires more Immigration lawyers to deal with the backlog of applicants and give prospective immigrants a reason to try and enter the country legally. From what I can tell, we're talking about 20 miles of barrier. The opposition is hammering JB on border security and this gives him a way to refute that narrative and if I'm reading the article correctly, spending money that was already allocated for the project. (but not from Mexico) Your first paragraph is accurate, but I'll also add that the GQP love to complain about illegal drugs (usually Fentanyl) "pouring over the border" and claim that the Wall would stop this from happening. The fact is, the vast majority of illegal drugs are brought to the US by American citizens, through legal ports of entry. https://www.cato.org/blog/fentanyl-smuggled-us-citizens-us-citizens-not-asylum-seekers 2

In a court filing on Thursday, attorney Andrew Parker said that he and Nathan Lewin both wished to withdraw representation for Lindell and MyPillow. Parker's 16-attorney firm, Parker Daniels Kibort, was hired to represent Lindell and his company in defamation cases brought by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems. While Lindell initially paid his monthly bills, Parker said the payments began to slow in 2023. "No payment has been made for PDK's July 2023 and August 2023 invoices in the above-captioned case," the attorney wrote. "A similar situation exists in the Dominion and Coomer cases." "On October 2, 2023, PDK was informed by Defendants that they are not able to get caught up with or make any payment on the large amount they owe in arrears nor pay for anywhere near the estimated expense of continuing to defend against the lawsuits going forward, including either the legal fees or litigation costs," the filing stated. The document revealed that Lindell owed "millions" in legal debts. "Defendants have indicated that they understand PDK's position, do not object, and are in the process of finding new counsel," the filing concluded. 1 2
