Great.  You admit that illegal immigration has been happening for ages.  You also seem to admit that Biden and Obama deported more than TRUMP.

There also was this legislation that would have increased the numbers of boarder agents, increased funding for immigration courts (the vehicle to DEPORT illegal immigrants), and change rules regarding asylum (LEGAL IMMIGRATION like the Haiti folks in Springfield).

The party that was against that legislation is actually for open boarders.  Guess who killed it?  TRUMP and the HOUSE QOP.  NOT THE DEMOCRATS.

OOPS

Didn't the Democrats hold the power in the House and Senate in 2021 and 2022?  What happened then?  They had control of all 3 branches of government did they not?  That graph shows illegal immigration skyrocketing in 2021.  Someone blamed it on COVID.  Is COVID the reason why the border was open in 2021 and 2022?

Also, that bill you speak of wasn't even introduced until 2024.  What about the 3 years prior to that?  Also, from what I read the Republicans killed the deal because it was linked to other concessions, including giving amnesty to illegals.

DeSantis F#ed around and has moved into the find out stage. After two tornadoes and two consecutive hurricanes with a third on the way  and the Florida construction industry already reeling from a severe labour shortage caused by many factors, not least of which is the passing of SB 1718, a sweeping anti-immigration law passed into effect last July, it’s fair to ask who is going to do the rebuilding?

It’s a mistake by those who think that immigrants on work visas are just picking fruit and working the fields.

Thing is, states like Florida badly need those types of workers:

As the farmers in the Britain found out after Brexit.

Most people don't want to do that back braking, low paid work.  Except for many migrants.

With respect, bullshit. The Republicans killed the bill because Donald Trump told them to. Even though the bill was written by a Republican and had broad bipartisan support, Trump wanted it killed, and so they did.

Yeah regardless of the merits of demerits of the bill, Herr Vonn Sh*tforPants wasn't going to let Sleepy Joe have any kind of bipartisan deal (couldn't have had that many demerits if the GOP in the Senate committee approved that deal.

Exactly and that’s what Florida is finding out with construction. Backbreaking work in the blazing sun and humidity, in a state that rolls back worker safety regulations and protections.

A 2020 Census Bureau report estimated that immigrants accounted for 37% of all construction workers in Florida. In 2021, foreign-born workers accounted for 4.38 million of the Sunshine State's overall labor force, including an estimated 481,800 in the construction industry, according to the bureau's most recent population estimates program report.

So, what did the Democrats do prior to this bill being tabled in 2024?  You understand they took power in 2021 controlling every branch of government right?  Why do people only speak of this 2024 bill being killed but don't mention the 3 years prior where illegal immigration skyrocketed under a Democrat controlled House and Senate.  Can you explain that?

It was tabled in 2023.  It was killed in 2024.

The answer to your question is available to anyone who choses to look for it.  Here's one overview of recent years:

He actually didn't say that

He is talking about the stat that came out from the govt that 10's of thousands of ILLEGAL migrants are violent offenders

Also, there's a reason there are borders and legal immigration

What he didn't mention is the fact that that stat is based on the past 40 years, not the past 4....

Meaning the Trump administration is also to blame for those numbers, as are the Reagan, Clinton. Obama and both Bush administrations....

The democrats had a tied Senate with a democrat tie breaker, but I'm sure you're well aware of the roll Manchin and Sinema played in this matter? Now if you want to talk about a majority in all three branches and not getting shit done, do I have a story for you.
