That’s a shame. Anyways….

Ramaswamy pledges to ‘withdraw’ from Colorado ballot amid Trump removal

https://ca.news.yahoo.com/ramaswamy-pledges-withdraw-colorado-ballot-011441531.html

This headline should read, "Guy running at less than 5% in the primaries threatens to pick his ball up and go home".

Ramaswamy wants to ingratiate himself with MAGA for any future run at office (Capitol Hill or '28 White House).

Actually, yes.  A president could actually be president from a prison cell.  That's why the Georgia election case is so important.  He can pardon himself from any and all federal convictions, but any state convictions are truncated or removed at the pleasure of said state's governor.

Honestly though.  There's no way that Georgia's governor would keep a president-elect sitting in a cell.  It would be bad for him politically, and bad for the country.  He'd either pardon him or commute his sentence to time served.

Georgia is one of the four states (Georgia, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah) whose governor does not have the authority to grant clemency, although the governor retains indirect influence by virtue of his power to appoint board members.

The Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles is a five-member panel authorized to grant paroles, pardons, reprieves, remissions, commutations, and to remove civil and political disabilities imposed by law. Created by a constitutional amendment in 1943, it is part of the executive branch of Georgia's government. Members are appointed by the governor to staggered, renewable seven-year terms subject to confirmation by the State Senate. [1]

Each year, the board elects one of its members to serve as chairman. The current chairman is Terry E. Barnard. The other current Members, as of June 2019, are: Jacqueline Bunn, Esq., Vice Chairman; David J. Herring, Member; Brian Owens, Member; and Meg Heap, Member.

**************

In Georgia the Governor makes a recommendation to The State Board of Paroles and Pardons and they decide who gets granted clemency.

Thanks for the research.  I had no idea that Georgia was a board review only state.  It's a bit of a surprise.

That could potentially be a real sh*tshow for Georgia and this country if Trump gets both convicted and then elected afterwards.

Trump Acknowledges Hitler Comparisons — Doubles Down Anyway

Trump could walk onstage in full black and tan now, and 40% of the US would still vote for him.

We are in a scary time. Seems like we like to play with fascism every 100 years or so.

Yep. Trump wants to destroy the republic and take dictatorial control over the country--there's no doubt. He's tested the strength of their government and courts, and while we've seen them bend, one can only hope they don't break.

The good thing is that generation Z is getting older and many are now voting age. And more states may follow Colorado's lead in barring Trump from the ballot, so long as his appeal doesn't work in SCOTUS.

Biden could walk on to the stage drooling, poop his pants and completely butcher his teleprompter speech and somehow still win an election.

I do wonder how Georgia would get him into custody. Obviously he's no Navalny and would never head straight into the fire. He'd avoid Georgia like it was Vietnam x 10. So how do Georgia officials get him into their custody, should they ever need to? Could they cross state lines and apprehend him? Could he hide for the rest of his days in DC?

They'd have to extradite him.  The only place he'd be safe is a country like Russia or Saudi Arabia.

So you'd rather vote for the Hitler fanatic as opposed to someone who can't read a teleprompter?

I'm confused. Are you saying it's wrong to point out that Trump clearly idolizes Hitler? You will please note I did not call Trump Hitler; I called him a Hitler fanatic, which is not quite the same thing.

Lately Trump is bringing all this upon himself.  Others are merely commenting on what the guy says.  If he keeps making speeches that contain almost word for word matches to lines Hitler used are we to just call it a funny coincidence?

Not too mention his own ex wife stating that he kept Hitler speeches by his bedside or generals stating that he wanted them to be as loyal to him as Hitler's generals.

I do not understand Americans.  Trump did absolutely nothing while in office except making sure Roe vs Wade would be overturned and gave tax breaks to companies.

He added 6 to 8 trillion to the debt.

Didn't build a wall.

Didn't replace Obamacare "with something much better" in his words.

The only thing he has said if he becomes President again is he will go after all the vermin and Trump haters.

The man has NO plan at all.

I probably should have stuck an adjective in there like "galactic-sized" sh*tshow.  Even aliens in other parts of the galaxy would be like, "their biggest leader is in prison?  What a sh*tshow of a backwater planet".  😂

Kellyanne Conway Says January 6th Obsessed Democrats Drive ‘Electric Vehicles’ to ‘Get An Abortion’ Every Morning

Good ol' Kellyanne is lucky that she herself isn't in prison after she posted a nude of her minor daughter online after they had an argument.  She may want to keep those lips zipped until the statute of limitations runs it's course on that snafu.
