Exactly what the constitution was to prevent Now Trump - although it's true that the USA provides immunity for government officials and military in the proper communication conduct if their duties , this only applies to immunity from foreign courts. Bush is an example - he won't face courts for his orders to invade Iraq. However .... And this is THE #1 reason for the creation of the republic and it's constitution... In the USA not one person is to beyond the law for their actions in the USA. What Trump is doing is claiming he was KING and non can challenge his orders. 2 things on this First his lawyers position that both the house and Senate must first impeach. So if one party controls both they can play King and do as they please. If true they could then order themselves rulers for life and end votes forever. That's why the constitution is designed to make sure that never happens Second Trump just literally said Biden has the power to lock up Trump for life and throw away the key without charges ... And that order would be legal. Of course again Biden couldn't because again ... The constitution stops it The hallmark of any democracy is the right of every person to appeal to a court. Once you start hanging out free passes your not a democracy Trump has done more damage to the USA and the world than any other politician in their history. We can see this spreading globally and here in Canada. It goes back to the Charlestown riots where Trump said their were good people on both sides of that white supremacy March. A mere 18 people emailing the Saskatchewan government where able to take control of power and have their parliament suspend constitutional rights of the majority to impose the religious order in them. That in a nut shell is Trump politics. Hate , fear , lies , misinformation and be loud ..... The sooner Trump drops or is removed the better the world will be and we can begin to heal and get back to some normality Imagine politicians debating the other parties actual actions and presenting concrete alternatives ... Being up front on what gets cut and who pays .... You know .... Debating the issue and alternatives and not the person..... Imagine if religion was protected but not forming policy and law for everyone to fit their views. A seperation of church and state .... History will not kindly remember our politics from this generation and Trump will not be remembered fondly outside of his radicalized followers .... The Saskatchewan government recieved 18 emails requesting immediate action on pronouns and bring in parental rights. This was used for them to pass their parental rights bill and once the courts said hey wait a minute .... They envoked the not withstanding clause of the constitution to force it into law. A mere 18 emails .... The tie to trump.is.his movement no matter which country follows it ...
