The whole "despicable" thing and comparing him to Adolf Hitler is way over the top for me.  I'm supposed to believe that he's a threat to democracy while his political opponents are actually trying to put him in jail so he can't run against them?

I'll take 4 years of Trump any day over 4 years of Biden.  How much closer do we need to approach World War 3?  26,000 dead Palestinians, 300,000 dead Ukrainians, 300,000 dead Russians, and we're on the brink of a war with Iran.

As a citizen of the world, and someone that doesn't like the prospect of a potential nuclear war, I don't want any of the war establishment.  Dick Cheney = Bush = Hillary Clinton = Biden.  No difference.

I really can't take anything seriously that you hear on CNN, MSNBC, or FOX.  Mainstream media has long been now a mouthpiece for the establishment and I'm surprised that any of you actually take them seriously after they've been caught lying over and over and over and over again.

Follow the money and it should land you directly into the 238 Billion dollar coffer of the military industrial complex (per year).

This is exactly what Dwight Eisenhower warned of in his farewell address. He was a 5 star general.

One of the best speeches of all-time because it foreshadows what is to come for US.  People that pretend that eternal wars aren't in US establishment's interests are dummies.

Now let's all wave our LGBTQ flags and pat ourselves on the back for being inclusive while the US government bombs another middle eastern country and implements regime changes that result in thousands of deaths.

On the other hand, let's call Trump a fascist, racist, and sexist and stay the hell away from him and his non-interventionist politics.  It's gonna be bad for the business of bringing war democracy worldwide.

It looks like another bipartisan deal has been made....this time in Congress:

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/01/31/congress-tax-vote-00138968

Quote

The $78 billion tax package was sent to the Senate on a vote of 357 to 70, with strong support from both Republicans and Democrats. It awaits an uncertain future in the upper chamber, with some Senate Republicans calling for hearings and others eager to make changes in the bill.

Some House progressives voted against the package, saying it wouldn’t do enough to slash child poverty. They were joined by Republicans on the right who grumbled that it’s an expansion of the welfare state in disguise.

But moderates from both parties provided the tax deal with the two-thirds majority it needed to get through the House under an expedited procedure known as suspension of the rules.

....and of course, some Senators are already saying the won't support it because it will help Biden's re-election chances:

    • Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a former chair of the Senate Finance Committee, appeared to say the quiet part out loud on Wednesday when he suggested presidential politics would play a role in the bill's fate.
    • "Passing a tax bill that makes the president look good — mailing out checks before the election — means he could be re-elected, and then we won't extend the 2017 tax cuts," Grassley told reporters, incorrectly characterizing the child tax credit provision as a mailed check.

........

"Rep. Mike Collins (R-Georgia) quote-tweeted one of his Republican colleagues, Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (R-New York), who was responding to a Fox News video showing undocumented immigrants arrested for assaulting NYPD officers leaving custody. In the video, one of the alleged assailants gave two middle fingers to a Fox News photographer, prompting D'Esposito to tweet, "we feel the same way about you. Holla at the cartels and have them escort you back."

In the now-deleted post, Collins wrote "or we could buy him a ticket on Pinochet Air for a free helicopter ride back."

Before X/Twitter took action to delete the tweet, Rep. Mike Collins (R-Georgia) drew the scorn of hundreds of people. MSNBC host Chris Hayes tweeted that "sitting members of congress calling for murdering people using the Pinochet regime's preferred method of dropping them out of helicopters is really not great."

Huffpost reporter Christopher Mathias contextualized Collins' tweet, saying it was "parroting a meme that’s been popular among white supremacists & neofascists like the Proud Boys for the last 7 or so years."

The tweet is a reference to far-right Chilean dictator Agosto Pinochet's reign of terror, in which left-leaning political dissidents were captured, tortured and sometimes murdered. One of the more notable examples is that of musician and activist Victor Jara, who was rounded up by Pinochet's forces and tortured in Chile Stadium in the weeks following his US-backed September 11, 1973 coup that deposed democratically elected president Salvador Allende. CNN reported that Jara's body was found with more than 40 bullet wounds and signs of torture.

a jury in a civil trial thought he was.

He is right tho. there is no criminal conviction. Of course that doesn’t stop one saying that both Joe and Hunter Biden are guilty of crimes currently even tho they have not been convicted either…
