RupertKBD
Maybe Tucker can report on how much better the Russian Legal system is as well..... https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/16/brutally-murdered-world-reacts-to-alexei-navalnys-death-in-prison Quote Imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny has died after collapsing and losing consciousness in the remote penal colony north of the Arctic Circle where he was serving a long sentence, the federal prison service said. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Vladimir Putin has been briefed on the death of Navalny, a fierce critic of the Russian president. Kira Yarmysh, a spokesperson for Navalny, said his lawyer was on the way to the IK-3 penal colony, located in Kharp, in the Yamalo-Nenets region. Navalny aide Leonid Volkov said Russian authorities published “a confession that they killed” him in prison. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian foreign ministry, wrote on her Telegram channel that the West has already arrived at “conclusions” without forensic evidence. She said the immediate reactions “in the form of direct accusations against Russia are self-revealing”. Yet another person who dared stand up to Vladimir Putin is dead. This is the guy Republicans and their supporters are cheering for..... 2

Duodenum
That brings us to 2023, when the official data showed that Americans’ per capita incomes, after inflation, jumped 4.2 percent. The special transfer payments continued to fall substantially below those before the pandemic, and federal unemployment payments edged to $22 billion, the lowest level since 1969, adjusted for inflation. With transfer payments and jobless benefits no longer distorting incomes, the official report accurately reflects what happened to Americans’ real disposable incomes based on the economy. It’s hard to overstate the extraordinary growth of incomes during the Biden Boom of 2023. No president since Richard Nixon has presided over average annual income gains as significant as the 4.2-percent increase in 2023 under Biden. Now that the 2024 presidential campaign primaries are well underway, the broader record also shows that Biden clearly beats Trump based on wages and salaries per working American and all income per person, including transfer payments, capital gains, and other financial gains. One reason for this boon is that millions more people are employed under Biden: An annual average of 151.7 million Americans held jobs from 2021 to 2023, versus 147.1 million under Trump from 2017 to 2019. The other reason is the higher wages and salaries under Biden. If we take wage-and-salary income per year from 2021 to 2023, divided by the average number of people working each year, the result in 2023 dollars is an average annual wage-and-salary income of $76,142 per working person. That’s $3,250 more than the average of $72,892 under Trump from 2017 to 2019—again, after inflation. If the economic issue in the upcoming election is how much Americans earn, it’s clear that Americans have been much better off under Biden than they were under Trump. From washingtonmonthly. Trump's printing press and debt fueled economic record worse than Biden's investment fueled economy. 2

TRUMP can't borrow from banks in New York for 3 years. Don Jr. and Eric are on the hook for $4 million each and are no longer VPs and can't lead any corporation in New York for 2 years. Barbra Jones, who up until now was monitoring the TRUMP Org., will now have to give her approval for any transactions. So it will be harder for TRUMP to move money around. TRUMP Org. will have to pay for an independent director of compliance to clean up the Org. from the inside. The Judge didn't scorch the Earth. HE could have awarded more in fines and could have given the corporate death penalty. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-bank-fraud-trial-ends-with-dollar372-million-gut-punch 1

the destroyer of worlds
To add, I think TRUMP has to put up a bond in order to appeal. He already had to put up about $100 mil in the defamation case. Now this. His cash on hand is going going gone. HE can't claim poverty as he previously bragged about how much money he has. Ooops.

Trump's decision not to contest a D.C. Circuit Court of Appeal ruling against him from December affects pending civil litigation brought by police officers and lawmakers who were at the U.S. Capitol during the riots, Supreme Court reporter Lawrence Hurley writes for NBC News. The deadline to appeal passed Thursday. The case only affects civil claims and is separate to another claim that the president is immune from criminal prosecution because his actions were taken while he was president. That argument was also rejected earlier this month by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, but Trump has signaled that will be appealed. But James Blassingame, an officer injured on Jan. 6, and fellow plaintiffs can move forward with multiple consolidated lawsuits against the former president, Hurley writes. --------------------- MAL
