Benefits?  Certainly not the people on the tracks. Lol. That's all of us, btw.

If you want to get into it

(get your anti-depressants ready, friend) the people that benefit by believing the false dichotomy are same people that always benefit-- the corporatocracy, plutocracy (or whatever name we choose to give them these days.)

Truth is the Democratic party and Republican party are just the "left" and "right" hands of the capitalist class.  (Democrats are not actually leftists, btw.)

Pull the lever all you want. It doesn't make a lick of real difference in terms of outcome for the working class underclass, etc. of society.

Sure, one party might hate poor people a little less, one party thinks there shouldn't be 5 people that hoard all the wealth but rather 15 where a maybe a few are black, a couple women, maybe even a few that identify as LBGTQ.  But neither party challenges the game itself.

Both at the behest of the military industrial complex, financial institutions, multinational conglomerates, share underlying values when it comes to Foreign Policy, etc.

Too many are talking about so-called 'issues' when they should be primarily talking about the top and bottom of the class pyramid... especially in that growing ayncrap-hellscape known as the United States.

But then divide and conquer is a strategy as old as time, and mass media and the education system has a stranglehold on propaganda. So it's not surprising it's not at the forefront of the conversation.

The recent rise of populist clown,  fascism, white supremacy, and then a pandemic as icing on the cake has certainly helped divert and thwart  attention being paid to class conflict.  (At least old man Bernie helped get the ball rolling there... as pro capitalist as even he is.) Either way it was back to infighting in full force. False conscious proles busy fighting while the masters go laughing all the way to the bank. But, what else is new, right.

Who benefits by this take?

Hopefully you and anyone else reading this.

The capitalist class has already successfully inoculated the population from believing this this just have one simple argument to turn everyone's brains off.

Pelosi was evicted from her office by the interim Speaker of the House a few hours ago.  Her aides are moving her stuff out and into a much smaller office with the rest of the Democrats.

Kind of a dick move considering she is in California with Feinstein’s funeral on Thursday.

So McHenry has proven himself to be another of the Republican POS people. Not only did he slam down the gavel like a petty child, the next thing he did was evict Nancy Pelosi from her offices giving her 24 hours before the locks were changed knowing full well that she is in California for her friend and colleague, Diane Feinstein's funeral. Just when I think that these Republicans couldn't possibly disgust me further, they find another level of despicability to aspire to. JFC I have such a loathing and hatred for some of these people.

Not quite, President Harris would swear in  a VP. The only wat the Speaker would assume the Presidency would be if both the President and VP died at the same time.

Trump insulted vets in private, former Chief of Staff Kelly confirms

Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly on Monday confirmed past reports that then-President

insulted wounded veterans in private conversations with staff and called fallen troops “losers” for sacrificing their lives for their country.

In a statement provided to CNN, Kelly — a former Marine Corps general who also served as Trump’s Homeland Security secretary — expressed disgust for the former commander-in-chief’s past actions and recent comments attacking outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley.

The 73-year-old Kelly told CNN that Trump is “a person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’”

He also said that Trump did not want to be photographed in public with military amputees, with the former president reportedly saying, “it doesn’t look good for me.”

Reports of Trump skipping out on military cemetery visits, banning wounded troops from official White House events and mocking prisoners of war and troops killed in action have circulated for years, but not with any confirmation from an official as high ranking in Trump’s inner circles as Kelly.

With Trump vying for a return to the White House next year, Kelly called him “a person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.”

The news comes less than two weeks after Trump took to social media to attack Milley, who retired from the military this weekend, for speaking to Chinese authorities in the tumultuous days following the 2020 presidential election.

Milley has said the conversations were routine interactions to keep lines of communications open during a presidential transition. Trump labeled them “an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been death.”

Milley said publicly last week that he had to contract extra security for his family following Trump’s comments. In his departure speech, the Army general reminded troops that “we don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator” and urged them to stay focused on their responsibilities to the country.

Trump has denied disparaging veterans in the past. In a statement to the Washington Post on Monday night, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung dismissed Kelly’s comments and said the president’s former chief of staff “has totally clowned himself with these debunked stories he’s made up because he didn’t serve his president well.”

Trump has fought publicly with multiple former members of his senior staff during and after his presidency. Kelly did not say why he served for two full years in the Trump administration after hearing Trump’s insults regarding military members.

Who cares? Fuck Pelosi! She is not some hero people should be looking up to. She's as corrupt as the rest of them.

Let me ask you this: if he did the same thing to someone you respected instead of Pelosi, would you be reacting the same way or would you be on the other side of the fence?

It was done in self-interest.  Republicans can't stand Pelosi and it will be a popular move with their voters.

And quite frankly I think she's up there in popularity with Hillary with the GOP base.  Problem is the GOP will need the Dem support in getting anything done as the lunitec wing of the GOP will only support policies that Genghis Khan would be in favor of.  Fine kick her out of that office but the timing was pretty bad.

I would imagine that the new guy took even greater joy for that reason.  It's a humiliation and an effort to make her "lesser" and she is now around a bunch of other politicians in California that will know she just got punched in the mouth and no longer has the power to do anything about it.

Well California is such an evil state, even a state run by the GOP once enacted gun control legislation with the support of the NRA (When Ray-gun was the governor because of "reasons".🤓

I have been told that president trump might be open to helping the republican party, at least in the short term."

About that:

The Texas Republican suggested he had support from pro-Trump lawmakers Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Greg Stuebe (R-FL), Ronny Jackson (R-TX), Barry Moore (R-AL) and "many others," although GOP conference rules should prohibit the four-times-indicted ex-president from serving.

"A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed," states Rule 26 of the Republican conference rules adopted in November.

...the GOP would merely change the rules retroactively the make him legal.  No different when they enacted term limits on Presidents because they couldn't beat FDR.  Then thought about removing that amendment when Reagan was unbeatable.

Out of all of the things that are not going to happen, Trump as speaker is absolutely not going to happen. The democrats aren't going to vote for that. A large portion (if not a majority of republicans) are not going to vote for that.

All this is is theatre antics.

It's an attempt to get the Democrats to accept another member of the fascist wing as an alternative.  The smart thing for them to do is agree to support a moderate I'm exchange for the denazification process to start by removing the Magats from all committees and censuring them when they open their mouths.  Otherwise, let them fight amongst themselves.  They need adult intervention to fix this.
