Nope- his idea seems to be to pick up the beams, and set them into place on the new bridge.- to save time. 3-4 months for a new bridge- he thinks. 1
Popular Post Warhippy
37 minutes ago, Bob Long said: Not defending Elon, he's a pud, but wouldn't the steel be fully recycled first? One would hope. But that's also not as easy as some people seem to think . Structural/metallurgical steel of the sort used in bridge abutments etc needs to be smelted differently post casting as it is casted differently to begin with. it can not come out in a hot roll and essentially has to be extruded or cast in a cold roll fashion. In normal manner, it would all be hot roll but due to the existence of different alloys in the initial casting process it would then have to be done in a cold roll fashion to ensure a proper temper or to ensure the quality of the metal for structural needs. 2 4

Alflives
Why is Tesla doing so bad? Is that a political thing (people who tend to buy EVs hate that guy) or are they just just not so good cars right now?

Musk's posts on Twitter/X have really soured a lot of left-wing buyers, who are the primary market for EVs.
Gurn
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/companies/trump-sues-his-truth-social-partners-after-stock-loses-4-billion-in-first-week-of-trading/ar-BB1kY1GV?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=eddfaee3f4434527b78479effa827042&ei=6 Former President Donald Trump was set to reap a multibillion-dollar payday from the initial public offering (IPO) of Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG). But now, it looks like the stock could be worth a fraction of what it initially traded for by the time he can actually capitalize on it. The stock (trading as "DJT" on the Nasdaq Composite) has already lost nearly $4 billion in value after its first week of trading, cheapening the value of Trump's shares in the company. As a result of the stock's poor performance, Trump has personally lost $1 billion in his estimated net worth as $DJT continues to crater. This has resulted in Trump lashing out at his partners in the business venture, attempting to zero out their shares as punishment for allegedly setting up the company improperly. Bloomberg reported Tuesday that Trump sued Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss in Florida state court in an attempt to have the court give him their combined 8.6% stake in TMTG, which is worth over $600 million. The former president alleges that Litinsky and Moss botched the establishment of the company's corporate governance structure and mishandled its merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) earlier this year dubbed Digital World Acquisition. Moss and Litinsky failed spectacularly at every turn," the lawsuit alleges. "They made a series of reckless and wasteful decisions at a critical time that caused significant damage to TMTG and a decline in the stock price of its merger partner." Trump's lawsuit in Florida comes after Litinsky and Moss filed their own lawsuit against the former president in Delaware Chancery Court in February. The two investors accused Trump of orchestrating a scheme to "drastically dilute" the value of TMTG's shares in what they referred to as "11th hour, pre-merger corporate maneuvering." While Trump initially had control of 90% of the company and had 78 million shares in the company, his business partners alleged that he tried to inflate the number of shares to one billion, which would have reduced their stake to less than 1% of the company. ---------------------------- mal

Tesla should have fired Elon's ass a year or two ago as he has poisoned his image in the eyes to likely consumers. Second and probably more the case is that there is just way more competition now in the ev space especially from legacy car manufacturers that do not have the quality issues Teslas have become known for. Chinese market also plummeted for Tesla with domestic brands producing and selling ev way cheaper and just as good if not better than Tesla. Tesla has the advantage of being seen as a luxury brand in China and a status symbol, which is a huge competitive advantage for a country obsessed with saving face. Sad news for Tesla though is that Chinese economy is in the gutters right now and those that do have the money are afraid of showing off their wealth and attracting the attention of ccp. Those people are better off purchasing top of the line domestic ev as a show of nationalism. Tesla depend a lot on the Chinese market and with that pie decreasing significantly, their fortune will go down with or without Musk. Musk and Tesla tries to sell itself as a tech company but at the end of the day, they are a car manufacturer no matter the propaganda they try to put forth. 1

He makes his money by lying and stirring up the masses with his bullshit and it's a bloody catch-22 because if you don't respond it gives him license to carry on and get worse and if you DO respond, he rakes in the $$$ from the hits he gets on his show AND on Twitter. Pretty crafty how that was set up... there's a few like him and the Laura Loomers, Juanita Broaddricks, Gunther Eaglemans etc who are making a decent living raking in $$$ on Twitter by telling outrageous lies and pushing conspiracy theories. There's no way to really counter their bullshit the way Elmo has set them up. 1
