If Trump gets in, US might get out of NATO, or at least push it to the point where other NATO members won’t bother helping them out.

China could invade US without humans. … “bad dog!”

He can't withdraw. Congress passed legislation that he can't just abandon it.

Speaking of Hair Gropenfuhrer, it looks like he might be spending some of his donors' hard earned cash to buy himself some friendly witnesses....

https://www.propublica.org/article/donald-trump-criminal-cases-witnesses-financial-benefits

Quote

Nine witnesses in the criminal cases against former President Donald Trump have received significant financial benefits, including large raises from his campaign, severance packages, new jobs, and a grant of shares and cash from Trump’s media company.

The benefits have flowed from Trump’s businesses and campaign committees, according to a ProPublica analysis of public disclosures, court records and securities filings. One campaign aide had his average monthly pay double, from $26,000 to $53,500. Another employee got a $2 million severance package barring him from voluntarily cooperating with law enforcement. And one of the campaign’s top officials had her daughter hired onto the campaign staff, where she is now the fourth-highest-paid employee.

These pay increases and other benefits often came at delicate moments in the legal proceedings against Trump. One aide who was given a plum position on the board of Trump’s social media company, for example, got the seat after he was subpoenaed but before he testified.

Significant changes to a staffer’s work situation, such as bonuses, pay raises, firings or promotions, can be evidence of a crime if they come outside the normal course of business. To prove witness tampering, prosecutors would need to show that perks or punishments were intended to influence testimony.

Apparently, this report has the Trump team worried enough to send a "Cease and Desist" letter to ProPublica, which appears to have been ignored, showing that the outlet is confident in their reporting....

Damn-they be fucked up, down there:

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/the-kansas-supreme-court-has-ruled-that-voting-is-not-a-fundamental-right-what-s-next-for-voters/ar-BB1nz5hI?rc=1&ocid=winp1taskbar&cvid=cbb339a7e56f46f2b40f378ca8033107&ei=18

"

Asplit Kansas Supreme Court ruling last week issued in a lawsuit over a 2021 election law found that voting is not a fundamental right listed in the state Constitution's Bill of Rights.

The finding drew sharp criticism from three dissenting justices on the high court. The Associated Press looks at what the ruling might mean for Kansas residents and future elections.

he ruling itself is wide-reaching, combining different lawsuits at various stages of litigation that challenge three different segments of a 2021 election law passed by the Kansas Legislature. It was a lawsuit challenging a ballot signature verification measure in which a majority of the high court found there is no right to vote enshrined in the Kansas Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

The measure requires election officials to match the signatures on advance mail ballots to a person’s voter registration record. The high court reversed a lower court’s dismissal of that lawsuit and instructed the lower court to consider whether the measure violates the equal protection rights of voters. But four of the court's seven justices rejected arguments that the measure violates voting rights under the state's Bill of Rights.

WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?

The decision was written by Justice Caleb Stegall, who is seen as the most conservative of the court’s seven justices, five of whom were appointed by Democratic governors.

Stegall dismissed the strongly-worded objections of the dissenting justices, saying there is not a “fundamental right to vote” in Section 2 of the Bill of Rights, as the groups had argued.

MAGA Representative’s Kid Trolls His Entire Speech Whining About Trump

If you want an honest opinion, ask a kid. That lesson was on wide display Monday as the young son of Republican Representative John Rose stole the spotlight from his MAGA dad and made a bunch of silly faces to CSPAN’s camera—which even the normally buttoned-up CSPAN couldn’t resist highlighting.

A couple of things about this performance that stuck with me:

First, he references "equal" application of the law. The treatment that Trump has been given throughout all of his legal cases is nowhere close to what anyone else would have faced.

Second, he whines about this happening 6 months before the election. Somebody remind me how close the election was when ACB was nominated to the Supreme Court....

The other thing I keep seeing and hearing from these Republicans, is this "warning" about how doing this to Trump is going to result in future Republican administrations "attacking" Democrats.....but here's the thing:

In order to convict these hypothetical Democrats, the Republican Administration will need to find a DA willing to take on the case, then convene a grand jury that will issue an Indictment and then, they'll need a trial jury that will convict this hypothetical Democrat of a felony. (or multiple felonies)

Personally, if they can do all that, I'd say that the Dem was probably guilty and deserves whatever punishment the court hands down....

The resulting complaints from a YouTube video showing people how to make complaints to a federal appeals court has apparently irritated an appellate judge enough that he's no longer accepting complaints after ruling on the matter yesterday.

Complaints are pointless anyways until the SCOTUS ruling comes out later this month.

Court stops taking complaints against judge overseeing Trump documents case
