He's almost always been within the 3-4% margin of error of the non-outlier polls. His problem is that he's behind in the swing states. That could change though. I think Trump made a huge error in agreeing to a debate with rigid rules and muted mics. Biden will certainly be on his meds that night and he has decades of debate experience and will be lucid enough that he could quite possibly wipe the floor with Trump if Trump gets overly angry and frustrated. Trump wins debates because he doesn't follow the rules and is quick to interrupt and butt in with one-liners. Trump has neutered his own best weapon(s).
