They've spent so much time over the past 4 years painting Joe Biden as a doddering old fool who doesn't know where he is most of the time, they're now faced with the the prospect of how to spin things if and when JB shows up at the debate and blows that narrative out of the water..... Some of the tactics reek of desperation.... We've already seen and heard the "Biden is on drugs" narrative. That one seems to have already convinced a few people around here, but from what I have been able to find after looking through several reputable sources, very few outside of MAGA nation are lending that theory much (if any) credence. Since it appears as though only the truly gullible are falling for the drug theory, the GQP is taking another tack. They're per-emptively blaming the refs. Already we've seen Republican operatives such as Trump Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Speaker Mike Johnson and the Howler Monkey herself, MTG, attacking CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Echoing the planet's biggest liar, all of these professional ass-kissers are claiming that CNN will somehow "rig" the debate.... Never mind that the debate rules have been public knowledge for quite a while, the Repugs seem to feel they need a ready made excuse, in case Orange Julius Geezer doesn't dominate against the supposedly "cognitively impaired" Joe Biden. So far, we have "The other team is going to cheat" and "The refs are going to favor the other team"......I'm guessing the only thing remaining is for Trump and his proxies, no matter how badly he performs, to claim "absolute victory".....
