MAGA Oklahoma official hires Project 2025 mastermind to write state history standards

https://www.rawstory.com/ryan-walters-oklahoma-2668710381/

Ryan Walters, the controversial far-right Oklahoma state education chief, has put together a team to rewrite the school's history standards — including one of the key architects of Project 2025.

According to NBC reporter Tyler Kingkade, Walters' Executive Review Committee to reform the state's social studies directives includes Kevin Roberts, the leader of the right-wing Heritage Foundation think tank.

Project 2025, the group's 900-page blueprint for the next Republican president, outlines a strategy to replace the entire federal civil service with GOP loyalists, and enact a sweeping right-wing vision that includes codifying Christian nationalism into law and sharply scaling back everything from Social Security and Medicare to military family benefits.

I wonder if anyone sane has read those 900 pages?

I suspect that reading them will guarantee one’s admission to a mental institution

'Pray for this burdened man': Republican mocked after telling House he does his own dishes

https://www.rawstory.com/republican-dishwashers/

Republican Rep. Jeff Duncan stood on the House floor Tuesday and bemoaned his plight to the American people, avowing "I do load and unload the dishwasher."

In consequence, he was immediately and resoundingly mocked.

The South Carolina lawmaker made this heartfelt omission of personal suffering during a debate on the Stop Unaffordable Dishwasher Standards bill that seeks to prohibit theSecretary of Energy from enforcing energy conservation standards.

"I can tell you, Mr. Speaker, that many times I have opened the dishwasher, loaded properly, with the right amount of dishwashing liquid or pod put in, that all the dishes aren't clean," the orator declared.

He's making the rookie mistake of not realizing a 'dishwasher' is really just a fancy sanitizer. Still gotta prewash.

Id personally like to see Gov. Newsome rip 3 more useless holes into Trump to play with himself .

Today :

Oh boy. Trump’s Doral rally tonight was a doozy. Let’s recap it:

He started off by bragging about his golf course instead of apologizing for being an hour late and leaving people waiting all day under a heat advisory.

He said he didn’t know what NATO was.

He bragged that “being indicted is a lot of fun.”

He claimed “tens of thousands” of people showed up to this sad little rally. He later said “45,000 people” when it barely looked like 2k people were there.

He froze like a deer in headlights for 10 straight seconds.

He praised Laura Loomer and repeatedly called her “amazing.”

He’s mad that Kamala Harris laughs and called her “L-a-f-f-i-n’ Kamala,” proving what we already knew that bro can’t spell.

He said he wants a “no holds barred” debate without moderators this week. Essentially the two of them screaming at each other. Super dumb idea. Especially when Biden is hosting the NATO summit.

He also challenged President Biden to a golf tournament this week when President Biden is busy meeting with NATO leaders and doing his job.

He said Biden “doesn’t know what a synagogue is.”

He thinks you have to stop electric cars every hour.

He complained about the heat only 16 minutes in, when those people waited all day and he still showed up an hour late.

He said someone told him that he looks “great in a bathing suit.” Barf.

He called the fictional Hannibal Lecter “a lovely man” and compared him to immigrants.

He said migrants are “preying on everybody.”

He forgot how to say “feared” and said “field.”

He said he’d be the “greatest president that God has ever created.”

He claimed Hunter Biden is running the country.

He babbled about facelifts.

He said he was going to bring Tom Homan back into his administration, a guy who helped author Project 2025 which he claims to know nothing about.

He claimed Biden has more homes than him.

He said we’ll become “energy independent” when we already are right now.

He complained some more about the hot weather.

He asked why “sweaty” golf caddies “never touched me, never hugged me, never kissed me.”

He made fun of Chris Christie’s weight while claiming he was standing up for him. Mighty rich.

He said the U.S. is turning into “communist Cuba or socialist Venezuela.”

He struggled to pronounce some of his sycophants’ names.

He called Don Jr. “a great talent” and that he has a “great wife” even though he’s not married to Kimberly Guilfoyle.

He said how much he loves his family showing up when his wife Melania and favorite daughter Ivanka didn’t even bother going.

He said “October 7th would not have happened” if he was President.

He said Israel “had no money.”

He said “we have nuclear submarines and five warships in Cuba,” essentially calling himself a Russian.

He said Biden has abandoned Cuba when he was the one who nixed Obama’s plan to reopen trade and travel to Cuba.

He said people get “shot, mugged, raped” when visiting the Washington Monument in DC.

He said he will protect the second amendment and “innocent life” in the same breath.

He told people to “vote whenever you want.”

He played a song performed by J6 insurrectionists and people who beat up police officers.

He read his teleprompter cue to speak quickly out loud.

He said that getting rid of energy efficiency in appliances will “keep our enemies at bay.”

He called the United States of America “a third-world country” and said we’re “a joke.”

He said President Biden “isn’t legally allowed to stand trial.”

He’s claiming that the stock market is high because of MAGA winning the election in November, and that it will crash like during the Great Depression if he loses.

He said it’s “easier to get fentanyl than groceries.”

He forgot how to say the word “economy.”

He said he’d rather take money from small dollar donors instead of the wealthy.

He said they’re “going to take over our Capitol.”

He lied like he breathes.

And we all know the media won’t cover HALF of this absolute train wreck.

I am wary of 'impeachment wars' between the Dems and Repubs but I wish this one well even though it has no real hope of success.

Ocasio-Cortez introduces articles of impeachment against Supreme Court Justices Thomas and Alito

“Justice Thomas and Alito’s repeated failure over decades to disclose that they received millions of dollars in gifts from individuals with business before the court is explicitly against the law,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement. “And their refusal to recuse from the specific matters and cases before the court in which their benefactors and spouses are implicated represents nothing less than a constitutional crisis.”

“Congress has a legal, moral, and democratic obligation to impeach,” she said.

During a recent speech at an evangelical church, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson — the state's 2024 GOP gubernatorial nominee and a Donald Trump ally — openly advocated violence against his political foes.

The far-right Christian nationalist and MAGA Republican told the crowd, "Some folks need killing…. It's not a matter of vengeance. It's a matter of necessity."

Despite his long history of making extremes statements — from Holocaust denial to saying that women shouldn't have been given the right to vote — far-right MAGA Republican Mark Robinson, according to some polls, is quite competitive in North Carolina's 2024 gubernatorial race. An East Carolina University poll in June found Josh Stein, the Democratic nominee, leading Robinson by only 1 percent.

Robinson has made no effort to soften his image during his gubernatorial campaign. And according to The New Republic's Greg Sargent, the far-right MAGA Republican made some more extreme statements during a June 30 speech in a church in White Lake, North Carolina.

Robinson told the crowd, "Some folks need killing. It's time for somebody to say it. It's not a matter of vengeance. It's not a matter of being mean or spiteful. It's a matter of necessity."
Sargent notes that those Robinson advocated "killing" included "wicked people" as well as socialists and communists, adding that the North Carolina lieutenant governors has a "long history of wildly radical and unhinged moments."

According to Sargent, "He has linked homosexuality to pedophilia, called for the arrest of trans women, pushed hallucinogenic antisemitic conspiracy theories, endorsed the vile 'birther' conspiracy about Barack Obama, described Michelle Obama as a man, hinted at the need to violently oppose federal law enforcement and the government, and posted memes mocking and denying the brutal, violent assault on Nancy Pelosi's husband, among many other things."

Sargent adds, "His latest rant is yet another example of an ugly game widely played on the MAGA right, one supercharged by Donald Trump. It entails hinting that right-wing political violence is necessary and justified because a ubiquitous, all-seeing, all-powerful leftist threat — one that is pure invention — is already supposedly attacking and persecuting conservatives on a mass scale."

The journalist emphasizes that Robinson's comments are not an anomaly, but part of a pattern of MAGA Republicans calling for violence against political opponents. And he cited Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts as an example.

Fake electors get tapped as GOP convention delegates

Seven battleground states are sending fake electors and others who worked to upend the 2020 election results to represent their state parties at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where they will officially anoint Donald Trump as their presidential nominee.

Their role underscores how Trump has effectively woven election denialism into the GOP’s platform. It also marks an about face for a party that, at least in the immediate aftermath of the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, sought to distance itself from Trump and his efforts to stay in power.

“Election denialism is like the price of entry now,” according to former GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a CNN contributor who served on the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6 US Capitol riot and has endorsed Biden for president in 2024.

“These people that were in the fake elector scheme, or got a mug shot, they’re now the heroes of the movement, and they’ve taken over the party,” Kinzinger added.

At some point, prosecution, or at least an investigation into the matter, needs to be done.

Asking a person of colour if your speaking English to them is one way to go. Skeletor looks panicked here & understandably so.

Dems are watching their ship sink at the worst possible time, and to correct it they know they have hurdles; getting the Biden's to relinquish power (good luck with Jill), find away around Kamala Harris, and have all their sociopaths agree on a candidate when many big players would want that power.

Ontop of coming across in an trustworthy way that convinces the American public to choose you, after the pro-Dem powers that be have told us for years Biden is actually fine & your the crazy one for noticing any decline.

Should still be easy to convince Americans that any option is superior to Trump, who is openly proposing the nazification of the US.
