Speaking of JD Vance.  From He's Hitler and a morally bankrupt embarassment to hanging off of the mushroom.

OR!

Was he really ths guy the whole time.

Let's look at his venmo

https://www.wired.com/story/jd-vance-venmo/

US senator J.D. Vance, an Ohio Republican and former US president Donald Trump’s pick for vice president, has a public Venmo account that gives an unfiltered glimpse into his extensive network of connections with establishment GOP heavyweights, wealthy financiers, technology executives, the prestige press, and fellow graduates of Yale Law School—precisely the elites he rails against. A WIRED analysis of the account, the people listed as Vance’s friends, and, in turn, the people listed as their friends highlights sometimes bizarre and surprising connections. Experts, meanwhile, worry that the information revealed by the peer-to-peer payment app raises the potential for stalking, trolling, and impersonation.

More than 200 people appear on Vance’s Venmo “friends” list. Among them is Amalia Halikias, government relations director at the Heritage Foundation—the conservative think tank coordinating the controversial Project 2025. So is an assistant US attorney for the Southern District of New York, among many other lawyers for the Department of Justice, frequently decried by Trump loyalists as enemies and part of the “deep state.” So are Jeff Flake, the famously anti-Trump former Arizona senator and current ambassador to Turkey; lobbyists from organizations like the Government Strategies Group; people affiliated with other conservative think tanks like the Hoover Institution and the American Enterprise Institute; journalists and media personalities like Bari Weiss and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson; and tech executives from Anthropic and AOL. (None of these people responded to requests for comment.)

no it’s AI / effects generated onto his entry video,.     But it kind of represents what he stands for .

Thanks for clarifying the video... I was horrified.  Even though I know that is what he stands for, to see it presented so blatantly was shocking!  How does one distinguish AI generated images from "real" ones?  These days, what is happening in "reality" is so beyond my ken that I can't use outrageousness as an indicator of fakeness!

Interesting news on the guy that created "538":

He's also the guy that helped Hogan sue gawker out of existence when they released a video of him using expletives about black people when he found out his daughter was dating one. Morally bankrupt, the lot of them.

I *think* the slime (Hulk) also insulted & blamed the victim who was paralyzed as a result of his driving allegedly drunk.

This was pretty funny.........

I ate like Joe Biden and Donald Trump for a day — here’s why I won’t do it again

Collage of man eating like Trump and Biden
Bennett Rea who goes by @cookinwithcongress online spent a day recreating the daily diets of Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
It takes a sturdy constitution to handle these presidential diets.

Bennett Rea, the creator behind social media’s viral @cookinwithcongress account, is known for sharing recipes and dietary habits of American politicians.

In some of his most recent and viral videos, the 35-year-old recreated a day in the life of Presidents Joe Biden, 81, and Donald Trump, 78, concluding that neither men dine like “normal people.”

Trump’s diet left Rea feeling sick and agitated while Biden’s boring meal plan was only a minor improvement.

The TikTokker combed through news articles and books to come up with each menu and then sat down at his table.

According to Rea’s TikTok video, Trump normally skips breakfast and begins his day by cracking open the first of many Diet Cokes — a beverage he continues to chug throughout the day.

For lunch, the Republican candidate often cuts into a steak so well done it curls up at the corners, which he dips into ketchup and, at times, a side salad with Roquefort dressing.

Throughout the day Trump munches on Doritos or Lays chips and continues to sip on Diet Coke.

And at the end of the day, he gorges himself with two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish, and a small chocolate shake which he washes down with a Diet Coke — Trump is said to crush about 12 cans a day.

However tasty Trump’s diet, Rea said he felt sick a few times and was “pretty scared” about how he would feel the next day.

“Trump’s diet, I don’t understand how someone in their 60s, 70s or 80s can eat like Donald Trump for a full day,” he told the Daily Mail.

“It was getting too close to a ‘Supersize Me’ experiment and a feeling of I won’t do this for more than a day because I have health concerns. The next day, I felt hungover like I had just had a jug of red wine, I couldn’t focus.”

“I took half a day off work, I walked around town and felt nauseous, it was rough, I only started to feel better the next day,” he shared.

According to Rea’s research, Trump consumes twice the amount of salt, fat and protein recommended by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Rea also noted that the high-caloric diet put him on edge unsure if he wanted to fight or lie down.

“At one point during the Trump diet, I actually ended up saying to my wife, ‘I can’t really talk to you right now, I just need to be alone with all this food that’s in my stomach,'” he said.

Biden’s diet, on the other hand, was far less assaulting to Rea’s health — designed to suit the president’s aging body.

The president begins his day with a breakfast of Special K cereal and orange Gatorade, according to Rea’s TikTok video.

Later, he bites into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and an apple washed down with another Gatorade.

In between meals he snacks on protein bars and Fig Newtons.

And then for dinner, he sits down to enjoy a bowl of angel hair pasta with tomato sauce and a dessert of yet another bowl of Special K and more orange Gatorade.

Biden’s diet was within FDA recommendations but “was very simple really and got rid of any decision fatigue,” Res said. “It had this very childlike quality to it.”

“After, I felt like this diet was not meant for me. I was bored, it was bland. There wasn’t enough protein, so I was a little hungry, and sugared up from all the Gatorade.”

Rea also noted that neither politician drinks coffee nor alcohol, both of which the foodie missed.

I'm fairly sure that the suit that he funded and got money from Gawker for was because they posted a secretly taken porn video of Hogan schtooping Bubba the Love Sponges wife.

Getting sued for using a video of someone using a racial epithet would up clog the courts in the US.  They're all over YouTube and have been for years.

Before posting, I decided to Google it and yep, it was for the secret sex tape release.

Ahh, yes, I got the video wrong. As far as I'm concerned gawker got what was coming to them. Apparently this all stems from gawker outing Thiel many years earlier.

Hogan was reinstated a few months later. Apparently racism is not a deal breaker amongst that crowd. Quelle surprise.

AoC livestreamed last night for her continued reason to support Biden. She's concerned that the Republicans will go to the Supreme Court to challenge the eligibility of the new candidates as they would be appointed without a primary process. And the courts will not be impartial here. The risk is decreased with Harris on the ticket but it's still there.

She cites Mike Johnson that the Republicans are preparing legal challenges where ever possible, especially in the swing states for this possibility. Then the possibility of the election being decided by a supreme court ruling 'skyrockets'. Ohio was one of the states called out for this and could be applied to other states.

Her issue is that the concern goes away if there were people in the room with this mapped out. But so far no one knows the process on the Dem side.  Even people whose jobs are to see how this would play out on the state and federal level.

The whole reason the progressives are backing Biden is that they are in a no lose situation.

If Biden stays and wins in November, he will be in the beckoning of the progressive wing. If Biden switched out, they won't be listen to anyways so nothing really changed for them. They have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

That judicial concern is nonsense. That is literally how you start a civil war especially if candidate is switched out before their actual nomination. Only an issue after the convention and ballots are printed out afterwards.

How a party chooses its nominee is internal party issue, it is not something any gonvernment or court have jurisdiction over.

Gawker was bottom of the barrel.  They were basically a Perez Hilton website dressed up as news.  They were also political guns for hire just like most "newsrooms" are these days.

I can see her concern in this.

The court challenges and the confusion and significant division this would cause would absolutely neuter the US government.  if the Dems won without Biden and the GOP set up state and federal level challenges at every possible level it would take years to settle.  These are years in which the US presidency would be either vacant or unable to function due to the legal issues.

It's a valid concern.

BUT!

If Biden runs and wins they will also set up challenges against his ability to function at all due to age, infirmity etc which would cause the same issues.

There's a no win scenario playing out.
