Trump is now demanding a refund!

Because they spent so much on attacking Joe and now he pulled a fast one on them!  Not fair! Whaaaaaaaa!  :classic_laugh:

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/trump-demands-refund-on-funds-spent-campaigning-against-biden/ar-BB1qpJD9

Donald Trump has demanded compensation for funds spent campaigning against Joe Biden after the US president pulled out of the race for the White House.

Republicans should be “reimbursed for fraud”, Trump said, as the vice-president Kamala Harris emerged as the frontrunner to be the Democrat candidate.

Hey Donnie, maybe if you didn't spend all that money attacking one person and their mental decline, and instead spent it on attacking Democratic policies in general, you'd be in a better position.

.....except I guess, its tough to criticize one of the strongest economic growths ever, record job creation, the Inflation Reduction Act that helped US manufacturers, getting out of Afghanistan, first 100 day vaccine rollout, senior drug price reductions....etc

Whats your next move old man?

Of course he is.

Maybe they should audit where that money came from.

A lot of fraudulent money moving rumoured on behalf of Trump using funds he shouldn't have been using to campaign

I'm taken aback by the anointing of Harris without some sort of vote by the democrats to select a new presidential candidate.  Given today's level of skepticism towards institutions the Dems will fail to build trust with the voters if they Don't use a process.

Well they really don't have any time to do that and for anyone else to put together a campaign.

Biggest hurdle is Biden can only pass the campaign fund to Harris.

Additionally, arguably those voted for Biden in the primaries have done so knowing they are voting for the Biden Harris ticket so that is actually more respectful to the voters to choose the known 2nd in command than leaving it to an open convention where the delegates can vote for whomever they want.

Had Biden dropped out 2 month earlier then we can talk about new primaries.

If he's terminal, your calling this convenience is kind of ghoulish.

If he's terminal, it's gonna be really fucking hard for Trump and his lackies to walk back the shit they've said about him the last year or so and the Dems will make hay with it

I saw this rumour this morning.  I'm being kind when I say it's on shaky ground.  Charlie Kirk is the guy who initially pushed it after talking to someone in the LVMPD at Vegas.

Pretty easy to bust that right wing conspiracy.

Why would the democrats hide that. Heck you can't even hide that with the President being comatose.

Utter nonsense. If true Dems are gonna run hard on it to get sympathy. It only benefit the Dems.

Heck Biden speaking right now on the phone.

They hid and denied that biden was in severe cognitive decline.  Would anything surprise you?

They can't hide Biden being terminal or dead. US national security will not allow someone dead or comatose having the nuclear codes.

You over-estimate the American public.  Her sleeping with Willie Brown will hit harder than Trump boning a porn star.  They will "slut-shame" her to try and diminish her.

It's unfortunate, but it will hurt her a little.  Not as much as it would have 20 years ago though.

This is also the "Rules for thee, not for me" crowd. Logic need not apply.

I honestly don't know what the MAGA end game is..........mass emigration to Argentina?

I have trouble seeing it as anymore than a vehicle for normalizing misogyny/racism from the "hold my beer" crowd with support from evangelicals hoping to turn back time and human rights a few hundred years.

The Dems haven’t had their National convention yet,

The Republicans just had theirs on the weekend to nominate Trump for President.

The Dems convention comes up shortly ,

Biden would still have had to be nominated to officially declare that position amongst them.

Biden is stepping down.

Repubs, and MAGA are trying to say what Biden has done is illegal.

    IT IS NOT.

Like trump, they’re spewing greivances only because they’ve spent most of their time and money attacking Biden Lol..

Johnson is even in on the complain game..

                 He’s next to get tossed.

They’re all bunch of retarded Squirrels running in a hamster wheel .

Thanks for the insight.  It will be interesting to see if the convention is a meaningful competition and who the contenders will be.

And which reports are those? Besides ones catering to the right.

the same one saying that they couldn't put Harris on the ballot.

It's silly season now. The Trumpers will throw everything and anything they can at her.

It's not going to swing any votes, imo. People that dislike her will eat it up, those open to a change will listen for a bit.

IMO it comes down to a debate. If she's strong against him, it's a toss up. If he slithers out of a debate with her, he looks like a coward, and that helps her too.

Macquarie analysts reiterate that "Trump 2.0 will be a more inflationary policy regime"

  • Macquarie on populist economics

I posted last week on Macquarie pointing to populist economic policies as "inflationary by design", and that the Fed's easing cycle may be shallower than presumed:

  • while US inflation may continue to stay low in the next few months and allow the Fed to start easing in September, once 'popunomics' is invoked, inflation will be a feature of the system

In a note on Monday (more here) analysts at the investment bank reiterated:

  • Trump's expected policies are likely to be more inflationary
  • "Trump 2.0 will be a more inflationary policy regime, given restricted immigration, higher tariffs, and the extension of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2025"
  • forecast US Treasury yields and the dollar to be higher
  • Trump regime may restrict immigration ... the removal of low-cost labour supply may put upward pressure on wages
  • federal deficit ... also likely to expand under Trump

Agree / disagree? If comments could be non-partisan that'd be great. Like this dude says:

Sid gives them too much credit by saying political tribalists can even think (which is a prerequisite to being able to think critically).

he’s fine, at home working ,

it’s just grandfather time for Biden and he has excepted that,.  Don’t doubt he will used as a consultant for any President.

His career in politics domestically and globally might be the most outstanding in the entire world .

He has mentored and tutored many on both sides of the aisle on their approach to matters , and how other leaders and lawmakers should make positive changes.

I would think most Military leaders ,vets those active must be shaking their heads..

Real warriors , soldiers , troops do not want War,  they want to keep Peace .

They would defend against any incitement domestically.

trumps next move, would be to push people into power to take over command of the Millitary .     … that’s when the shooter does not miss.

They think 'critical thinking' has to do with breathing and heartbeat, which is why they all say they can do it.

If he manages to lose, he'll 100% try again to cause riots, get GOP states to refuse to certify, etc etc. We can all see it coming.

Maybe a few dummies suit up and try to cause violence, thats probably going to happen as well, but thats on them.

The cult is real tho. I saw someone go off the rails about 2 weeks ago at an event when someone made a Trump joke.
