I thought Harris missed a couple beats. When talking about his love of dictators she didn’t list Orban, she knew he would have brought up Orban at some point and would have weekend that already dumb talking point. 
Thought it was hilarious that the spin was that she had a lot of prepared lines and platitudes, yeah how unprofessional of her to prepare. 
Biggest take away in the end is how easily manipulated Trump is either way. Easy to knock off his game with insults or compliments.

What is with this “best economy” bullshit? In three complete years before Covid he couldn’t manage one single year of 3% GDP. Even Jimmy Carter managed 3 years above 3%.

I am surprised how poorly candidates do at explaining this. 
When a president’s enters office it takes a while to get policies in place to actually make changes. When Obama took over for W the economy was tanked. It took a couple years for his policies to take effect but by the time he left the economy was humming. 
Trump came in, gave a pay cut to land developers and those born rich.  Tax cuts for the wealthy pull money out of the economy. Add that to the tariffs that are by nature inflationary, the end of the pandemic and a lot of increased spending associated with that and a bump on gas prices surge caused by Russian’s invasion of Ukraine and we hit an once in a lifetime inflationary period that has since settled as Biden’s policies start to ease the pain. 
There is still a lot of price gouging going on as well.

The rest is all just silliness. Trump started saying these things were happening before any changes could even take place and got in the way of trying to make improvements at the border. 
Nobody believes the eating cats racist tropes unless they are already preprogrammed to believe that anyone who is not white is part animal. These statementsare just red meat for the foolish base (pun intended).

They say those who fail to lean from history are doomed to repeat it.  I'd say in your case the first step would be to actually study some history.   Twitter would not be the best place to begin.  With better sources for information you would learn that Trump did not have the best economy going, that no one is eating cats in Springfield, and that there were many wars taking place during the Trump administration.

It seared him. He felt exposed as a clown. A sad circus act. It's how most bullies react when someone finally stands up to them.

 

He tried desperately to stick with the most outrageous claims he had prepared. It wasn't working. He had no audience. No paid supporters instructed to cheer every demented thing he said. No cultish allegiance to feed off.

So perusing though post debate polls and focus groups, it sadly look like Trump's lie that tariffs are paid by foreign nations is really resonating with voters who I would assume is just as clueless as Trump on how it works. 

 

Harris is right now is still missing that signature populist plan that will convince the voters that she will make their life more affordable and distance herself from Biden. Imo, that is the one thing holding her back. 

 

I would say do universal paid family leave and frame it as allowing small business that can't afford that to compete for workers and grow their business resulting in more jobs. Think that is probably the least controversial one compared to universal childcare or healthcare.

Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration enacted the American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure Bill, The Chips Act, Expanded Health Care for veterans, and supported Ukraine, just to name a few....

 

It's also worth noting that he never had all three branches of government, meaning he had to work with Republicans to get any of this done.

 

But don't let facts get in your way....
